The rot set in last year, abysmal league record, transfers were so imbalanced leaving squad thin, worst full backs in the league, boys club for the coaching staff (i worried for andy woodman every time he had to move, great advert for a coach), cup run saved pardew and we used a lot of luck away to spurs that day. And before you start im a season ticket holder who does 300 miles to go to a home game, I've missed a couple for sure but my last league victory witnessed...qpr at home in march 2015. We're gonners now, who the f*** would want to come to us.

Any Palace fan could see that we played pretty decent football under Pardew and the results were not a fair reflection of the performances. We were shafted with a bizarre run of bad ref decisions against us and being edged out of games by 1 goal. Do you think Palace have improved or got worse since Alladyce arrived? If worse, who's fault is that? And actually no I wouldn't swap where we are for mid table obscurity because it's boring. At least it's exciting now.

That 'pretty decent football' where we lost a lot more than we won, has gotten us in the position that we find ourselves in today. I honestly don't see how anyone but the most blinkered Pardew fan can see that.

It was pretty but awful. Look at the results for an entire year. We performed badly in the league for a year before Sam took over. You could see the confidence drain slowly out of the players: likewise their ability to defend declined, then collapsed. It took Sam about a dozen games to get results going in the right direction last year at Sunderland. I actually think the rot was so bad it will take him longer here. By the way, I didn't want AP and supported him until Swansea, and I didn't want Sam. But, today, for the first time in months, the team actually looked like it was organized and people knew their role: even with a new formation. That seems like progress to me.
If you come to a fork in the road, take it. |

Everton just smashed Man City and looked like a side in form. For me, Allardyce is insisting the team knows how to defend and u suspect is ignoring attacking work (somewhat) until we do. We were unlucky that Schlupp got cramp. Maybe if he'd not, we'd be thinking how amazing it was we got a clean sheet against a top side. And then we can start feeling more confident knowing we can hold teams at bay.

Keep focusing on the past and we've had it. You win as a team and you lose as one. Who's fault it is right now is irrelevant, it's time to move on.

We were NEVER in the relegation zone under Pardew. Allardyce has already caused Palace to be booed off at halftime for the first time since we got promoted. And also taken us into the relegation zone for the first time this season. Pardew never did either of those things. Last 5 league games under fat prick conceded 9 scored 2. Against West Ham, Arsenal, Swansea, Everton and Watford. 1 point. And Negative, defensive football. Pardews last 5 games scored 11 conceded 11 4 points. Attacking, exciting football. Against Chelsea, Man United, Southampton, Swansea and Hull City. So if its all Pardews fault why is Allardyces record worse than Pardews? Edited by StainesPalace (21 Jan 2017 9.04pm)

Edited by StainesPalace (21 Jan 2017 9.04pm) Still can't believe I have to repeat this...6 league wins in 2016. We only avoided relegation last season because we had a good first half of that season. Pardew has left a mess that could f*** us up for quite a few seasons to come and I'm amazed that there are more than a few that still can't or won't see that.
