I wasn't there, couldn't be arsed quite frankly, sat indoors had a lovely meal and a few glasses of lovely Bordeaux. I really and sincerely hope that is OK with you OP, I'd be distraught if you didn't think of me as a "real" fan

I would have love to have gone but finishing work at 5pm in Torquay meant I was unable to attend.

I was there - bloody cold - and I didn't get upset even whe we went behind and I castigated someone for having a go at Kaikai when he did something wrong - just a kid - leave him alone.

I'm not criticising people who live untravelable distances. I travel from near Portsmouth, home at 1245. Not too far but far enough to feel knackered in the morning, so I know how many felt when the alarm went off. However,we get 25,000 at home league games and not many of us were ever going to make it to Bolton to celebrate Jules' record breaking game, so why were those that could not travel to Bolton absent last night. He acknowledged the cheers of the few that were there, but it would have been great to see a decent number there to cheer him and the team. Disasppointed with Palace fans.

I think you meant to say 'pricing' in answer to his question rather than being explicitly rude to a near pensioner.

I am part of the elite who turned up, however I am not going to get on my high horse about it. We were playing league one opposition and it was freezing cold, must be mad to turn up especially given the s*** performances we have been getting week in week out. And for those on your high horse, 7k is a standard attendance given the circumstances above. It was a warm night when we played Blackpool and we got exactly the same attendance. I picked one random season to see what our cup attendance was 2008/09 season... we played a 3rd round cup replay against Leicester on a tuesday night.. we won 2-1 - the attendance was 6k.. Nothing has changed, its an unappealing game and has nothing to do with loyalty or better fans. The demand for a game like this is low. Get off your high horse.

I think there ought to be a league table of fans on here actually, so we all know where we rank in terms of how well we support Palace. I'm pretty sure I'd be in the bottom 5% but it's become clear that there is a real need for this kind of ranking system in order to know who we should look up to and look down on. Obviously it should come with a few "acceptable excuse" cards that could be played, such as death of a parent or getting married (1st time only). Edited by Part Time James (19 Jan 2017 2.17pm)
