On a serious note, you're right mate! Big signings fail at Palace ... always have! As I said to my mate today, when the Cabaye's, Townsends & Bentekes get to the training ground, Selhurst and negotiate the surrounding area of Norwood Junction & Croydon ... I bet their arseholes go! They must think ... WTF am I doing here! Sad but true.

Until we start investing big style in our infrastructure then we'll remain on this merry go round. 4 years in the top flight and a cup final ... I'd of taken that all day long a few years back so a.bit bemused why do many on here are losing it about things. Time for us to go and get back to doing what we do best ... and hopefully the Yanks will see the potential in the club and start investing. I think this our real challenge currently ...

It's simple. Look at the date the people that are losing it joined the Hol. If they are after 2010, they maybe haven't seen the real bad times, and may have only seen the growth of the club and want more. They probably haven't seen the shi*te some of us have had to put up with over 50 years, and had to be grateful for it!

For your information, oh intelligent one, I am not that stupid and feel that if that's your retort then you are the stupid one. My point is, and may be lost on you, that the board have been found lacking in certain areas and have made mistakes. Perhaps they went too big too soon. Parish's record with managerial appointments is well documented to be poor. We are in this mess for a host of reasons and the board have to take their part of the blame. If you can't see that the stupid straight back at you!

Could you enlighten us on the countless mistakes the board have made with your benefit of hindsight.
Then compare with the benefit they have brought to the club.
I may not be as intelligent as you, but I prefer them to their predecessors, who were driven by their own egos and left and trail of debt and failure behind.

Should never have sold Jedinak either, he'd be massive in helping get us out of this mess

All Pardew's fault, he also sold Gayle for small change, given the 25% we had to pay Peterborough.
Gayle has already scored 20 goals for the Mags this season.

Sentiment got the better of business for once.
Pardew should have lost his job after the Cup Final - 11 points in 19 games then - and before a whopping new contract was signed.
Both bad errors by the Board and this is not hindsight talk - I was one of a number who said it at the time!

Yep, the cup winning manager didn't last till the end of that day!

We spent £9m net in the summer. Hardly a war chest and majorly backed.

It's not only the fee though, their contracts have to be paid when we're in the Championship or even lower..

I've got an idea on our weekly wage bill and it doesn't make for good reading.

Can see lots of players going on frees at end of season when their contracts expire. Ledley, Kelly and ... sob ... Jules. Rebuilding job for next season.

If we go down, I won't blame Sam, I won't blame Pardew

I will blame the board. Well some of it will be Pardew, but most of this mess is the board. Everyone demanded Pardew out months before it happened, they ignored the poor displays and the lack of confidence in our players and kept Pardew in. The board should of acted soooooooo much earlier than they did, but no they let Pardew keep destroying the team. Pathetic decision making. This isn't Sam's fault, he came in and has taken over a bunch of lost sheep. They are all so low on confidence, they all seem clueless.

If the board of acted quicker then this mess in our team wouldn't be as bad as it is. The have over paid on Benteke, they got an injury prone player in taking one of our loan spaces (even though I do like Remy). They over paid on Townsend, they let Yannick go to easily.

Before this season I felt the board was making good decisions and I have backed them.

Time for them to step up and put things right. Give Sam the money he wants, and get some half decent players in who want to try and win rather than big names who couldn't give a f*** about the soul of our club...

Rant over

Totally agree , should have sacked him one month before window so Sam could have assessed the players . I worry if Sam has enough time to put this right!

Nice chuckle when i get in. I love the outside views of the countless 'supposed' fans who know and think better than the board. I 'm sure you all would make the correct decision at every turn. At least you can't fault this forum for comedy.

In seven years.

His/our luck is just about to run out.

He's a salesman who bought a football club and doesn't really know how to run it at the top level.

i dont agree with your stance kermit, sincewe have been promoted, bar warnocks st
