show some gratitude.

Have you ever considered getting yourself a life beyond following Pardew around on other club's forums? You really are a pitiable excuse for a human being. Try getting out more, find a girlfriend and give your right hand a rest.

If we're not seeing green shoots by then, it's probably reasonable to be very worried. If anyone is to blame, other than Pardew, it's the board for allowing it to go on beyond May; like many on here they were goggle-eyed at a Wembley final which, in the great scheme of things, means jack sh1t unless you actually bring home some silverware and, in the event, just served to tissue paper over some massive cracks.

If it's ok with you, i'll take these two fantastic memories that our little club gave us to my grave.

I'll have whatever the pro Pardew brigade are smoking. Seriously. There are some severely stupid idiots on here who are still pining for him to return. It's his fault that we're in the proverbial brown stuff.
The first half of 2016 we needed a proven goal scorer. This we addressed and the goals came hence the good goal difference. A left sided player was requiered but for whatever reason was not available but was said that it would try to be remedied in the next window. Unfortunately Soare was involved in an accident that certainly effected our defensive structure. Loic Remy was injured before he had played for us.
All excuses I know but so is using Pardew failings to cover Allerdyces failures.

You do that, losers can always find something pointless to comfort themselves with.

A good cup run and a cup final appearance is right up there with what a club can achieve you are a bit over-wrought.

Not when you're failing completely in the league, it's not. And, let's be honest, who actually cares who came second? That Wembley final was just further confirmation of Pardew's complete inability to close out a game, with seven minutes to go, as if more proof were needed.

Yes, an experience to savour. I remember the 1990 Final very well though couldn't make the replay which we lost. The following season we finished third in the old First Division and would have qualified for European football if Liverpool hadn't got all the English clubs banned after Heysel. We were readmitted in 90/91 but allocated one place until 94/95.

I understand and agree with what you are saying but somehow 2016 wasn't quite the same because of our current circumstances.

Getting relegated with a squad that really shouldn't be getting relegated is right up there with what can really f*** up a club for a long time.

The Cup run was great and always a good thing to have - BUT WE LOST!
During that run we gained 11 points from 19 games in the League - worse than the first 19 games of this season!!!!!!!
Without the Cup run Pardew would have been sacked - he should have been anyway.
The mess he has left is terminal and we are relegation candidates - and rightly so.
BFS must be wondering what has hit him but he is a fighter and you never know - if we survive this time it will be a greater escape than under Pulis because now we have very little backbone to the team with a distinct lack of fight and spirit - something we had in abundance back then.
Bloody Pardew - how could anyone ever believe that he should come back!
