His appointment has polarised opinion. Not so much because it's a change of manager but because it's Sam allardyce. I am on the fence with regard to him until I see more of him, what he does, who he brings in and so on. But one thing I will say is I wasn't one bit impressed with him sitting impressively in the dugout last night looking like he couldn't give a flying f*** and the look on his face as he trudged off inside at the end. This isn't a man who bleeds palace that's for sure.

Not at all, are you suggesting that it is unreasonable for fans to show their displeasure? There comes a point where fans feel the need to vent. I am not one for booing players and would normally criticise fans but come on, that first half was ridiculous.

And as I mentioned in my post, there were other factors which when you're on a run we are on, don't exactly help n

What people fail to realise is that the referee last night was appalling! Who is Paul Tierney?? He should not be refereeing kids in a park let alone a premier league game..two blatant penalties....you can't be playing against 12 ...total CHEAT ...yes CHEAT! It would have been a different score line with someone else in charge!
The fans should not be blaming the players on this occasion...I think they will get out of the relegation zone comfortably!

Your right we could of had Clutterbollox refing and would have gone down 3-1

Clearly we feed off of the team and with the results of late its having an effect on us...however, when we first came up the crowd supported no matter what was happening and it got us through...Someone has to break the cycle...and it's down to us to do so.

Get behind then no matter what, get that feared and admired atmosphere going again (not just when we're doing well in a game) and together we may just get out of this.

I'm fed up with purple blaming everyone else but we also need to understand the part we've played since our promotion...and we're in danger of bring add culpable add those that we're pointing the fingers at.

I understand where you're coming from on this. Us as fans need to back the team, but we've been continuously let down by these clowns for a full year now, no matter how much backing we give them. It really does wear you down.

You should have seen the faces last night of those in the "Corridors of power" at the club !!!!

Don't the tea ladies knock off at 6 on a match day?

It might help if our new manager referred to us as OUR FANS rather than THE PALACE FANS in press conferences.Does not indicate to me that he has yet bought into our club.

Fans admitting it's hard to get up for games cos of the awful 2016 results, so how do you think the players feel? Football is all about confidence. Have it and the game is effortless and almost telepathic. Have none and everything becomes difficult, reactions slow as too much thought is going into what to do, instead of it coming naturally.
Now last night the team was paralysed with fear in that first half. Not too sure Sam's assertion we were expected to win did them any favours. Now you're playing badly and then you get a stonewall penalty, the arms go up and the ref inexplicably says no. The latest in a long, long line of match changing decisions. Imagine how deflating that moment was and the players went into a sulk. Subconsciously, but a sulk all the same and there are only so many times you can dust yourself down and go again. What happens if it's given and we score who knows? Maybe we get a boost, they deflate and we win 4-0. Maybe we get jumpy and they get angry and we lose 1-4, I've no idea. Thing is they're human and getting abused is hardly gonna improve their game is it.
It's hard, but we have to get behind them, even the ones we don't rate, otherwise it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

Also this is not a chip at the fanatics because they give alot of effort but we really need to evolve some new songs that are more up beat, loved singing yannick's chant before he went, also love jimmy Macs chant and love wilfs but alot of them are so one level and dont seem to get everyone going, a couple of new up beat songs would be a good

We can't control what happens on the pitch, but we can control what happens in the stands. As bad as the team performed last night we as fans were worse in my opinion! That's not us, booing and singling players out. The season we came up we was getting spanked week in week out but we still got behind the team. When the opposition scored we got louder ffs!! The players need us more than ever now!!

I don't blame the fans for that half time onslaught towards the team. 2016 has been terrible, there's only so much you can take and last night it finally got to everyone. When we were getting beat in the past by superior sides it was the heart and passion shown by our players that made us fans rally and applaud even after defeats. Now we have players on stupid salaries under performing and not playing for the shirt. Can you imagine Jedinak or Murray giving that display last night or for the whole of 2016. Last night was rock bottom and we need players like them again playing to keep us up and hopefully a manager in Alardyce to turn it around? It isn't going to be easy but we are still in with a shout - If the players do it on the pitch then they will get us fans behind them again. It works both ways, doesn't it?
