Maybe you're right, and that's stuff that's necessary to bring us into this century and competitive, and just maybe the next Keiron Gibbs signs for us and not Arsenal. Or maybe it was the US money used because the Prem money comes in instalments so instead of waiting for those instalments which are guaranteed to come, we used cash sitting in the back already. I don't know, but I doubt what you've listed comes to £50 million. Highly doubtful. Oh I am pretty sure it's nowhere near the £50m 'first instalment' we got from them. We may not have spent all of it either but I guess a good few million will be needed just to get to the point where a planning request is even submitted. I have read in a few places that Allardyce wants a cryotherapy chamber installed (like Leicester's) to help with fatigue and injuries so we should have the cash sloshing around for that too.

Browett,Long, Hoskins and other investors are part of a 'Limited Partnership' structure. I have a feeling that the total shareholding of Parish,Browett, Long and Hosking amounts to 48%.

Quick one on wages etc. Wage bill cannot go as skywards that quickly as we'd probably like due to FFP, which has regulations on how much a club's wage bill can rise over a 3 year period.

Thank you for that.I was more thinking about player wages.I tend not to get too involved in the finance side of the club, I'm football focussed ! Edited by Willo (03 Jan 2017 9.47am) I'd be very surprised if non-playing staff wages was >£15m (>21% of the wage bill). That would be relatively unprecedented at a premier league club. So if the wage bill is £70m+ in total then a lot more than £55m is going on player wages.

Will be able to find out soon enough Palace Midco Ltd which owns CPFC 2010 Ltd was due to make it's annual declaration of shareholders, directors and people of significant control by the 15th of last month, but it is overdue, CPFC 2010 Ltd is the holding company for CPFC Ltd so you trace it back - Palace Midco will show the control.

If it wasn't for the American's investment do you think we could have afforded to spend what we spent in the summer? Whilst I agree that its nothing to do with the US owners, when Pardew took over we were going down. No mistake, we were relegation bound in a bad way. We then finished 10th, and then had the best start to a season we've ever had in the premiership, followed by a monumental slump from which Pardew couldn't recover, despite an FA Cup final. I don't know what the problem is, and nor did Pardew, and that's the point. He lost his job because he didn't either. He ran out of chances and time, and by the Swansea game was on borrowed time (hell from the end of last season he was on borrowed time bought with an FA Cup run). But his first twelve months here were not 'when it all went wrong' because everything was going very right indeed! Would Pardew have kept us up. Maybe, but that's hardly the kind of answer anyone wants on their multi-million pound investment. They want at least a probably. After Hull, Parish couldn't really protect him anymore, because his record over 12 months wasn't good enough. Edited by jamiemartin721 (03 Jan 2017 12.26pm)

Kermit, If we didn't know you we'd start to suspect you were about to verge on trolling. In one post you say we didn't need the us investment because of massive revenue. Then you say the wages are eating all the revenue up. You need to gradually pay more in wages or you'll disappear as players know you're not a good earner to join or stay. Logic is taking a back seat here for you, almost as if your once in 5 year visit to the rickety 92 year old main stand with watery coffee should in no way be spoiled so you can reminisce over those days of 4,000 and losses to Shrewsbury. Cheer yourself up, have a word, anything. We have a brilliant owner. He will try to take the club further as much as is possible year on year so all I can advise is to trust and support. He's made an error over Pardew but as long as Sam keeps us up we should be here for years. It's true from where am I viewing. I think the investment will be eaten up. "Will" not 'are'. Read properly as I said 'will' earlier too. ... and three visits in the last nine months but that is by the by. My original post included the line "We would be just as good/bad if we had searched the lower leagues here and across Europe for talent and at a quarter of the price." And after that more about the money side as it is. I want a prudent approach. I don't want the £100k a weekers. I don't think success at a club like ours can be bought. It's more about spirit and desire. With you being such and out and out contrarian, and then having a personal pop, if anyone is trolling it is you Rudi H. Have a word with yourself.
