Allardyce has only been here for two games for FFS; the first after just a single training session and the other away to Arsenal. Let's give the man a chance to show what he can do with the team and a transfer window before we start pining for the golden days of 2016. Pardew had two transfer windows and a year to sort things out and achieved a form record of 92 out of 92, with no evidence that he could turn it around. It's now Allardyce's turn to see if he can dig us out of the Pardew-created pile of cack and it's going to take more than a week to do that.

Pathetic isn't it.

Pathetic isn't it.

It certainly demonstrates an unreasonable level of impatience, particularly when compared with the apparently inexhaustible tolerance afforded to Pardew.

let's not get ahead of ourselves. We were very lucky to lose that 2-0. Could have been 5,6 today. Speaking to Gooners after the game they were shocked at how easy we were to cut apart. Said it was completely different to the West Brom game, where Arsenal actually found it difficult!!

We were awful, shambolic even. Same Arsenal fans who said we deserved something from the last two times we played them at the Emirates.

Exactly but you cannot apportion any blame on FS. Don't forget he has inherited a team that conceded 8 goals to Hull and Swansea, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Arsenal found it easy.

Nobody would have realistically predicted anything but a defeat away to Arsenal(even though I wasted £2 on a draw bet at 7-1). I wasn't overly disappointed with the display either, other than Benteke who seems to show a poor attitude.
As some have said SA has been here barely 2 weeks. The test will be Swansea where we have to win. But you cant blame the manager for Benteke wasting a penalty against Watford and also missing our best chance yesterday. You can only blame the player for that.
You have to give the guy a chance to arrange the team that we have in the best way he can and bear in mind that we have one PL striker - that's it.
January is full of easier games for us and he somehow needs to get some points on the board.

Some of the stuff on these boards lately really just shows how clueless some fans are about football.

This is not a time to whine like spoiled children. We need a win to start some momentum and hopefully we can sign a couple of players in January to strengthen us and give us a lift.
We almost never win at Arsenal and my only surprise is that Sam played such a strong side with a massive game on Tuesday.

1st week in December West Ham were destroyed 5-1 at home to Arsenal . I have no problem in this defeat, or the manner of it. Not to a team in the mix for a top 4 finish.

Just as well we weren't playing Villa.

Why take relegation with Rowett if there is a chance of survival!??? I'm glad Parish is in charge and doesn't have your mentality!

I don't think people quite understand what relegation from the premier league means anymore. Look at the money involved for a start!

Building for the future has to be one of the biggest clichés. Without premier league money we'll be building nothing!

I am not saying I want relegation at all and as it happens I think Rowett would have sorted it out - we have a squad which if fit and motivated is more than capable of survival after all.
I have never doubted SP at all but I do think he let the AP situation run on too long - sentiment and business and all that.

Rowett has zero experience of managing in the Premier and Premier players. He only gained a reputation by working on a small budget in a middling Championship side.
What on earth ,makes you think he will sort us out. I expect he is a decent bloke, but not what we need. Sam will turn it round, but it wont be the instantaneous change people demand. He has to address fitness, players confidence, playing style and new additions to the squad, plus who to ship out. 10 games if no change, then be concerned.

Did you mean the "manner of the defeat was unacceptable" ?

By using the word "manor" in describing the defeat, I take it you mean the location was beyond the pail. Or is it the pale?
