The whiners who 'don't get behind our manager' (hehehe!) should have a look at this article. I'm excited. Big Sam is definitely the man for now into the near future. Look at his record against so-called 'Super-Al's'. With our ability to play expansive, attacking football, scoring at the rate of the team fifth on the ladder, is assisted by a solid defense, then we have much to look forward to. BFS is no Pulis. He can play attacking football when he has the materials. He should fix our defensive frailties, LB and MF issues (January), and I believe our fitness issues too. LONG LIVE SAM ALLARDYCE! COYP!!

Nice piece.

I still don't get why so many people only see Sam as a short term fix?

Look at what happened to all those teams after he was sacked....

He's obviously a flipping great manager and we should feel lucky to have him and want to hold on to him for as long as possible.

Every team apart from West Ham has been relegated after sam kept them all achieving mid table finishes.

Jokes to read how some HOL's are disappointed with this appointment.

Wake up people, Sam is the serious technical manager that will analysis all aspects of the club.

From weaknesses to fitness to tactics to good player deals.

With Sam and Parish I think the club is in super hands.

Proud to be Palace!

COYP!

I don't know why any fans would want to swap mid table finishes with relegation for the sake of entertainment?

Are Bolton, Newcastle, Sunderland, Blackburn better off now??

Are West Ham? Will they even be in the premier league in a couple season time?

All the fans of these clubs screamed for him to be sacked and within a matter of a couple of seasons, they all get relegated.

Must have been doing something right...

But HOL's already sound the same, Fat sam boring football... i for one will take mid table finishes for eternity than get relegated. We are so far away from being a super club. Finishing mid table is bloody fantastic.

Crazy opinions on here as always!

Well said and TY. Amazing some of the perspectives on here. We were in danger of going into bankruptcy only a few years ago and losing our great club. Each year in the PL the money we get strengthens our chances of actually making it in the best league in the world, a dream of Palace supporters for donkey's years. Even now we're managing to attract better and better players, including solid investors etc with concrete potential for club improvements. Even now TV commentators are starting to treat us with less disdain and as PL regulars. We can now seriously attract the players we need in January because we look like PL regulars. If we go down we lose all that credibility and momentum, we'll be viewed as PL wannabes, and it's bloody hard to get back from the Championship. Big Sam was destined to go to one of the bottom handful of clubs and resurrecting them, leaving a spot open for someone else to be relegated (IMO), and we are very lucky and wise to have got his services. Now I'm excited!
