He seems like he's just woken up with a hangover upon arrival at Palace today...

Because he's as bent as they come, there isn't a financial football scandal in which he's named or involved. But more importantly, he has the face that essentially sums up Birmingham, like a miserable, lost typical big jewelled, Northerner, taking a very difficult s**t, in the rain.

The man seems like an odious c**t as well. But he is a very good football manager. Which is what counts.

Who really cares, what sort of bloke he is, as long as he gets us picking up points, I don't care.

All this moralising about his character, when people know nothing about him, only what they have read in the papers, is comical.

He is managing a football team, not representing himself as a paragon of virtue.

I'm surprised that as a moderator of this forum you are posting such libellous and defamatory statements that could get the forums into serious trouble if spotted

No agenda I hope he does well but at the same time we owe him no loyalty. We pay him well to do a job, he does whats needed. As soon as a more attractive option becomes available we replace him.

He seems genuinely excited. That's a good start.

Maybe because he knows Palace have a good core set of players, a few tweaks to get them working better together and a couple of good additions to the squad and we are pushing for Europe.
Too bad i dont think hes the manager to make that happen.

The BBC said mostly the same in 2006 and Sam has yet to sue though said he and his lawyers probably would.

He took bungs it strongly appears but he hasn't killed someone so no big deal.

I think we need about six good additions not just a couple and he is a pretty good manager and tactician so here's hoping.

When everyone was moaning before Pulis saved us from certain relegation I couldn't understand why anyone thought we could get better.

And I thought the same thing when BFS was touted as England manager. Why not? He's about England's level - especially if he can get us playing in a pragmatic fashion that gets results. But then he really disappointed me with that Rooney nonsense and then he gets caught on camera saying things a wise man in his position wouldn't

I'd rather a progressive, younger manager who would bet us playing like Bournemouth or Southampton, to be honest. But we are mid-season and I'm not certain this is moment to find one or take a gamble.

So I'm willing to be convinced. Maybe he'll surprise us - I remember Bolton playing some good football in their heyday. The other good thing is that he's got something to prove. And will not risk the opportunity, surely, on doing or saying something really stupid.

Ok stretching it a bit but we have an ex-international manager. Bit of a step up from the Warnocks and Holloways and Burleys. Is that a first for Palace, i wonder? Think it might be.
