Seriously, he needs to be specifically prohibited from trying to fix things that aren't broken. Unless someone has got the bottle to do what's really necessary and escort him from the premises.

Flamini was decent in the first half actually.

McArthur was downright excellent. Taking him off was beyond stupid and sums up why he needs to be fired.

Yeah because our squad is so deep and we dont have another game in 3 days time...

The substitutions had nothing to do with our defeat. Man U were far superior, and their quality eventually paid off.

Credit Pardew for getting a good performance out of our players.

I have given him some credit by saying we played so well tonight. I've also said I still back him. Why go for the win when a draw would have been a good result? We took a man out of centre mid and they scored about 30 seconds later. It was madness.

I'm on the Pardew in side but there are so many on this side who have a blind passion for Pardew in/out and can't accept critisism or give praise. My view is a little more balanced than yours.

I suggest you re-read once you've sobered up.

Pardew is a t***. For the second game running takes off our best player (McArthur) and we conceed within 2 minutes.....Get rid now while there is still time to turn it around

When you make a substitution you need to tell the players what their roles will be. Bringing on a striker for a midfield player does alter the team and they switch off So the last sub did have an impact albeit a negative one. I cannot understand these changes and how many goals are we going to concede in the last 5/10 mins of games.

So you risk a valuable point you almost have thinking about a game in 3 days time you're even more likely to lose? Of course you do. I suppose you ran over to the corner to clap and wave P45dew off.

Isn't flamini off in January? Wouldn't be surprised to see Chungy go to ... playing them tonight was to put them in the shop window ... wrong game to do it though

They say hard work never hurt anyone ... but why take a chance?

would have been a long run from Torquay

My thinking is this JM is one of our best players,We were unlikely to win against UTD, we have a lot of games coming thick and fast, we have a paper thin squad. Silly risking a long term injury(muscle tear or other fatigue injury) and have him out till feb/march. He worked his gonads off for 85 mins tonight and will do the same saturday(another game where we are unlikely to win). We need to stay in touch until Jan when we can add to the squad and get some decent cover in.

Three minutes isn't going to make much difference in his fitness for Saturday. AP was going for Campbell scoring against a former club for the second game in a row (however unlikely that would be) so he could say he'd had a hunch he would do that, like on Saturday.

Thought the whole shape of the team was wrong. Zaha up front was ridiculous, as was playing McArthur out wide. Football is a simple game made complicated by people like Pardew. Play to our strengths and play people in their proper positions, and press the opposition rather than letting them have the ball whenever they want it.

And you think we're more likely to do so against Chelsea? We had, what would have been, a very good point in the bag until we were Pardewed again.

Taking McArthur off, who was playing his socks off and subbing him with a centre forward with 10 minutes-ish to go when we playing a team of Manure quality utter madness and IMO lost us the match!!
