Some good points made on here. I think the key point I was trying to get at is that the way the players responded and took on responsibility suggests the team spirit is there and they're playing for Pardew. He clearly had to take their views on board given the circumstances but still he's not lost the dressing room.

Maybe not 'lost' as they're still trying to score goals, but that's the enjoyable part of football. But they might've lost confidence in him. How many weeks of making the same errors, picking the same right footed player at LB and hanging him out to dry and risking everybody's premier league career?

So please don't claim Pardew knew what he was doing all along because we were going down, no doubt about it. The jury is still out too. Slacken off and we're still in trouble. There's going to be regular runs of 3 games and zero points looking at the fixtures so being 5 points clear is just about good enough.
