Last season we were genuinely s***e at times. This season we've played well in 80% of games and then made silly defensive mistakes and and individual errors. Yesterday we didn't and the luck went our way and we racked up a 3-0 win not playing as well as we have in some games. That's why some people still back AP, or at least aren't sure he needs to go. Fixing this to me is about changing small things, not making huge sweeping changes or clearing out and starting again. That's why to me 'transition' is a pretty fair assessment. We're still a work in progress.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

Don't recall many saying last week he needs to go unless he gets a win today. Strange how people all of a sudden are back tracking. I couldn't really care less if we won the next 2, Pardews lack of tactical awareness is only gonna end in tears. If you're consistent about him wanting to stay, then fair play. It's the inconsistency of a lot of palace fans that do my nut in. I'll never be a fan of his, a typical Pardew style scrappy win with scrappy goals and gung ho football really doesn't change my stance in the slightest. He should've been gone before the season started and a good set of players are almost certainly gonna keep him in a job. Parish looks very unlikely to let him go until it's physically impossible to keep him any longer. But with his rudeness directed at the American investors,he has surely made his position increasingly difficult in the event of yet another bad run.

His comments suggested that the Yank investors don't know much about football. Quite how much you need to know about the beautiful game after results this year is irrelevant. Results have been appalling and anyone in the world can see that! If Pardew can shift the blame he will. If he can't, then he'll just put some sort of spin on things ... which is what occurred!

It was all a bit he's my mate and we love each other. Thank him in private, shut up about the other owners and Delaney. Long way to go before you can start giving it big again.
The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years |

I really don't think he was trying to criticise the Americans but his wording have clearly led many to interpret them in this way. By his statement regarding the support from Parish, if we keep on losing games and is still in situ, the 'Anti-Pardew' faction might turn their "Heat" on to Parish for keeping hold of what they deem is his "Mate" when they believe he should be ousted.Preferential treatment and all that !!!! Alternatively if Pardew revives our fortunes, Parish will be lauded for sticking by the manager in difficult times.

Interesting how peoples' perception of this can be so different. To me it was a complete cringe moment that looked even worse on Match of the Day than it did at the game. Different strokes I s'pose.
