Some high profile names have been mentioned but none might be remotely interested in joining us. We might be in the PL and in London but we are hardly "Sexy" - we have a stadium in dire need of modernisation with a capacity of only 26,000 and as such do not play in a modern stadium with sizeable crowds.Furthermore we are not an established PL club.We really have to be realistic about who we could possibly attract. FFS this is football not a Brighton Green Party meeting or coffee and biscuits after Sunday church service. Who gives a sh1t what people think. We'll be in the top league again rather than holier than though in mid table in the championship. Just appoint the man who can organise and discipline our defence and turn the goals we score into wins rather than 5,7,9 goal thrilling, entertaining and humiliating losses. That man is Allardyce. I think everyone knows it. And yes we might have to show him the door in 18 months but we'll be in the prem rather than crumbling away in the championship and can we do it in May this time like we should've done Parishs LLLLLLLLLLLLDLLLDLLLL travel pal we have now.

My view as well. At the end of the day, Brighton are on the "Up", they have a modern stadium, they attract crowds in excess of 25,000 in the Championship and they have modern and impressive training facilities at Lancing. It really hurts me to admit this, coming from someone who "Shudders" when he drives past their ground on the A27 !
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

They will care about contract and pay and transfer budget in January, same as always. They will size that up vs Sky Spirts Sunday or will the next offer be better or even be a next offer. This is the prem, Willo. It changes things.

It's like trying to pull a "Bird" - if you aren't the most attractive chap with a personalty to match you are wasting your time chatting up some really attractive female, dressed to the nines who perhaps has the pick of the lotharios in the disco. You can chat them up but will more than likely be rejected. You really have to be realistic !

I remember the days when the desperation appointments would be either Dave Basset or Trevor Francis. The chairmen needed to give something to the fans, but there wasn't much available on the market. Is Big Sam the managerial equivalent of the last turkey at Tescos?

I’m totally against BFS as a replacement for Pardew. He would rip up the team, recruit a load of big cloggers and play terrible ancient football. It’ll take years to unwind. Pulis is better at that style of football than he is and he obviously isn’t returning. Personally, I’d rather get relegated than have BFS inflict that upon our club.

He has been caught out before, until the police finish their investigation, we don't know if he will be subject to an FA investigation / sanction
