For me, a lot of it comes down to whether you blame AP or the players for the details/organizational failings that are costing goals (putting general play to one side for a moment).

Performances swing from pretty abject to very good (I thought we were superb against City) often within the space of a single game.

We were a soft touch at Burnley for all their goals, gave away 2 silly goals v Liverpool and similar for Man City.

We could have got something out of all 3 had our organisation / attention to detail been better. I actually think we could easily have beaten City with a touch more luck.

Me, I do blame Pardew for the details/organisational issues. If others think it's on the players then I understand those defending him. I'm just happen to disagree.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

I agree, the sense of entitlement by most on here is staggering. Changing the manager doesn't change our fortunes automatically, look at Everton with Koeman.
There are no managers, who haven't been failures elsewhere, except very few strangely Pulis is one of them.
The board will stick with Pardew, regardless of what The Sun says.

Except they happen to be 7th in the table?

I am looking at Everton they're sitting 7th in the table. Koeman seems to have figured it out at Everton, so what now is the excuse of the Pro Pardew crowd? He just needs more time? He has had 4 Transfer Windows and it hasn't been good enough. Not to mention ALL of the in-game tactical errors. The latest being subbing Benteke off to bring on Chungy. Why???? The 4-4-2 was WORKING. We should've gotten points from Saturdays match against Man City a competent Manager would've. Unfortunately we don't have a competent Manager.

Us conceding the goal had nothing to do with the change from 4-4-2. I thought Benteke looked knackered and made sense to get an extra man in midfield. Then Kelly inexplicably puts the ball out for a corner and no one concentrates

I remember Dave Whelan, the former Wigan chairman, saying a premiership club needs 10 transfer windows to build a squad capable of being considered established in the premier league. This makes sense to me as star players will leave during that time, better players will age and need replacing. Thus, I don't think we can consider ourselves established yet. We've got some very good players but still some weaknesses that need to be addressed in future transfer windows. In the meantime I think we're still vulnerable whoever is manager.

Koeman has worked it out? Started well but they've one once in their last 8 games, including a home draw with bottom club Swansea, and a 5-0 hammering by Chelsea. ....Sounds a bit like us last season.

According to the sun newspaper. Alan pardew has one game to save his job. With the American owners concerned about relegation. The main candidates are Big Sam or Chris Coleman.

If we did lose to Swansea, who would you want out of big Sam or Coleman.

For me Big Sam would gives that organisation that we've been missing.

neither thanks, don't understand the obsession with ex players coming back either to play or manage.....ffs look where we are, with ex players on the coaching team...salako..crap and woodman...kinell is there a fatter coach in any league
Big fat Sam.....no thanks not now not ever!

I haven't seen any hysteria; realism, pragmatism, justifiable concern yes, but hysteria no. What I have noticed however is for those in denial to resort to insults when they have nothing to offer by way of justification for their groundless belief that good times are always just around the corner...or the corner after that...or the one after that...

Lets be brutally honest. Who would put their last £50 on us to beat Swansea ?

Not me I watched the Burnley game, and if we go out like that again we lose.
