Get rid of the t***.

Rot has set in again, 5 on the bounce.

Looking at Watford hanging on to a win against Leicester. We can't even hang on to a draw any more.

Bored of this bell end in charge, winging it

Rant over bye parlose!

By getting rid of the t*** I do hope you are referring to Martin Kelly.

For me though it should be t**** and include Andross Townsend

It's all very Groundhog Day. Alan "partridge" Pardew looses 6 games and people want him gone, he wins one then he's the messiah and everybody else is a mug, he losses 5 games in a row and people want him out, he wins one and he's the messiah super Al anybody who wants him out is castigated .......repeat again and again.

I think that you must be reading a different forum from everyone else as I don't recall anyone referring to Pardew in glowing terms in the whole of 2016

Unlike a lot of you on here, I am liking the football we are trying to play. If it comes right we are going to be in the top half with style.
Personally I would have left CB on the pitch it seemed senseless taking him off just when we could have won it. Two minutes later it was over. Then we had no class in the middle up front.
If we keep our heads and our nerve we should be in the top half within three games.

Can't disagree with this. Unfortunately most people are looking at the 2016 record with more intensity over the decent football pards is trying to bring. Whilst the longevity of points is what will keep us with the elite it's the longevity of the style of play that will keep bums on seats. I don't want to be bored s***less watching my palace, and few managers will bring the excitement pards does to this club. A little bit of adversity never did any harm, not least to this club, atleast a sense of perspective is returning that no team outside the top 6/7 has a divine right to being in the pl, how exciting, how entertaining. Celebrated that goal harder than I've celebrated a goal in many many months of football, twas nice to feel fight under difficult circumstances-that is us as a club, always will be imo.

Are you for real? Do You think if this dreadful record duplicates it's self into 2017 it will keep bums on seats? Really? Your happy with the results as they are as long as it's entertaining. . . . Think about what you just said

I thought about what I said before I wrote it. The ovation at the end of the game would suggest most people were entertained and pleased at the fight we showed. We are one win from mid table, where we "should" be. I didn't state that ebertainment was more important than staying up, but the longevity of both should be considered. I'm almost at the point where if it's all about money, the return difference between 11th and 12th place, the manager being under pressure for not beating teams we "should" beat, people talking about the potential of Europa as an inconvenient distraction, that I'd take a cheeky trip down to the championship, regain a bit of fight, perspective and god dam appreciation of what being in the PL means, no matter how "bad" your current 16th place is. The attitude of our fans is now pretty tragic, the current adversity we are facing is atleast bringing out the real ones along with the real palace imo.

If we're relegated, 10,000 of those 'bums on seats' will disappear overnight, along with a whole load of those players that you find so entertaining. When we stay down, which we would do, thousands more will drift away. No stadium improvements, nothing whatsoever to show for four years in the PL.

If it was just about entertainment we'd be able to fill the ground every home game in the Championship, but we don't. Entertainment's fine as long as it's coupled with results. As for worrying about fine distinctions between 11th and 12th place, we don't have a snowball's chance in hell of reaching those dizzy heights, so we won't be having that problem.

but if we was to go down which we will if the man stays in charge,(but it ok because we will be playing attacking football) we will be a championship club and bums on seats would reduce dramatically

btw the table doesnt lie so we do not have the divine right to be midtable

we are in our 4th season building in the top flight why do we need to appreciate it anymore??

i felt that way the first 2 seasons

Christ, he's only been with you lot for a couple of years.

You wouldn't mind, but the sheer vitriol directed towards the Newcastle fans from some of your lot was actually quite breathtaking at times... and even then, we put up with that sh*te for over 5 years. (Yes, five years.)

Here are some stats from Pardew's time in charge at NUFC.

Alan Pardew was the first Newcastle United manager to lose 6 consecutive Premier League games.

In the 2013-14 season, Alan Pardew’s Newcastle United lost 4 home games in a row without scoring a goal – the first time in the club’s entire history that this has happened.

Alan Pardew has conceded more goals against Sunderland as manager of Newcastle United than Keegan, Dalglish, Souness, Roeder, Allardyce, Kinnear and Hughton combined (12 vs 11).

Before Alan Pardew arrived, since 1993, Newcastle United had lost 35 Premier League games by 3 goals or more. Alan Pardew has lost by 3 goals or more 22 times on his own since December 2010. This is more than any other Premier League club in the same period.

Alan Pardew’s Newcastle United fired their first Sunderland derby blank since 1989, their first home blank since 1985, their first two consecutive home blanks since 1901 and their first three consecutive home blanks ever.

Newcastle United took 1.76 Points per game from Sunderland prior to Pardew’s arrival. Under Pardew they have taken 0.75 Points per game.

Does any of this have the ring of familiarity?

For over 5 years we had to endure his stewardship, watch that God awful 'style' of football, and endure a number of new record lows being set - yet we were apparently ungrateful for having the big man himself in charge.

How many of you here honestly think you could endure another 3 years under Pardew?

A few dreary mind numbing 1-0 wins would do me fine, rather than some thrilling ,entertaining ,honourable defeats.
If and when we are safe from relegation feel free to play gung ho football
