Being a West Ham themed event, I can only imagine what the room looked like at the end....St Johns ambulance all over the shop, flashing blue lights, tables turned over, blood up the walls........ They were an older couple and luckily for me passed without incident . They were both fanatical the bride put a west ham t shirt on over her dress as soon as they turned up at the reception. None of the other guests were supporters so no broken bones or teeth swallowed

Mrs SB and i had our wedding reception at Selhurst Park. Excellent do it was too. I remember sneaking out just before the meal, with my dad, and we stood, pints in hand, looking at the pitch from the old stand. Nothing needed to be said. A moments reflection, a chink of glasses and back in side.

Me and the Mrs are getting married in the summer of 2018. I wanted to inquire about having Selhurst Park as the venue but they never emailed me back so I ended up booking another venue. Has anyone got any ideas of what sort of thing we can have to do with Palace at the wedding. I think we are having red and blue themed bridesmaids and table decorations and I'll be wearing a Palace tie if I can find one the colour I want. Any other ideas? Depends on the over all theme, rustic as an example is popular right now. So you can add rustic style palace nods. Groomsmen can wear one red one blue sock. Carnations can have red petals with blue tips. i think red and blue will be harsh on the eye, but if you had muted colours, like a navy and a softer red, could look good. Table name and numbers could be written in the style of shirt name and numbers so like an outline of a shirt with Table as the name and then the number. For instance 6 people sat at the copple table and it's number 5. speroni table is number 1. I always find subtle nods are best, so you don't instantly notice it until you actually realise what you are looking at. The cake knife could have red and blue ribbons. find a cover version of glad all over in the style that suits your venue and play it! Atop the cake, get one of those bobble headed place players to be you, then get a female one, sure they are about to be the missus. Napkins in the wine glasses could be red and blue. When you take off her garter and going up her skirt, you can plant items under the chair so looks like you are pulling out a palace scarf, programme and even a ball.. that's normally funny. In the toilets, put little brighton notices in the urinals. Contact the cab driver that has red and blue over his black cab with the badge... use that to pull up in or be taken away in. I'm a huge comics fan - at my wedding i pulled up in a De Lorean time machine. I'm out in canada so had union jack socks. Had the superman shield in silver on the cake, on the flowers on the groomsman suit lapels, i had little lego justice league figures for each bloke. At the bar i had a palace flag. so, you know... small nods.

Got married last year and had glad all over as the song we walked back up the aisle to. Also had Kayla the eagle come along for the bit between the ceremony. People could hold her and have a pic with her etc. Edited by cardiff eagle (17 Nov 2016 9.50pm) Edited by cardiff eagle (17 Nov 2016 10.37pm) Attachment: Screen Shot 2016-11-17 at 22.37.53.png (30.77Kb)
