I thought Cabaye looked good although need to learn to shut his mouth when he's on a yellow. 2 goals from McArthur will encourage him to get forward in future.

Liverpool only scored 4 and we only lost by 2. Don't mean that flippantly because they were very good and will dish out a few pumping a playing like that.

We didn't lose to a bottom 6 team
Ward was back to his best
Zaha was dangerous
Benteke is great in the air
Cabaye showed classy moments
Mandanda is a top keeper

Let's concentrate on beating the bottom 6 sides and anything from the rest is a bonus.

Burnley huge

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

Burnley on their home ground are a "Tough nut to crack". They have beaten both Liverpool and Everton on there and also Watford.Lost narrowly 1-0 to Arsenal.

Mandanda should have saved both 2nd and 3rd goals. I am totally unconvinced that he is any better that WH.
As supposedly the mainstay of our defence, Scott Dann was awful, although not as bad as Ward and Tomkins and Chung. Could not have picked a worse game to start experimenting in my view and his remark after the game that "we defended well at times". Sorry, can someone remind me of when? We were sliced open on almost every attack!

The OP asked for any positives.....

Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Hoof Hearted 30 Oct 16 10.02am

Danny Murphy didn't agree with grumpy Shearer who NEVER thinks we are due a penalty.

If this attitude of Murphy's can be transplanted in a referee's mind, one day we will actually be awarded a penalty when Wilf is brought down!

Palace have gone back to 10/1 to be relegated. Makes Burnley next week a vital match. Otherwise four defeats on the trot and Citeh to follow.

Positives?

I just can't believe that Palace are actually competing with top teams these days. Before you get your knives out, let me explain.

Yes, the Reds were all over us at times yesterday and yet there were also times when we rattled them and we had some good pressure.

I think it's positive that we have a side who want to p[ass the ball from what we saw yesterday; a vast improvement on the 'lump it up for the big man' that we saw against WHam.

Yes, there were times when we definitely competed and it strikes me that the difference between the side that came up and what we saw yesterday is massive.

Believe me, there will be many more teams who will get hammered by Liverpool this season.

What I saw is a side that has the ability to beat of those around us and I'm someone who thought we were a good bet for relegation this year.

Yesterday made me dare to believe that we can stay up ok.

I'm well pleased.

Saw Delaney not playing and thought we would be thrashed.

I saw the text tho and Pleat saying 'where is Delaney to cut this out'.
