Just cut out the middle man and give Everton the points now.
Clattenburg is a shockingly bad referee who has been dropped by the FA several times after incompetent displays, and yet for some bizarre reason he leads a charmed life.
I hope he has read up on the advantage rule after robbing us of two chances of a goal in the Cup Final

In my humble opinion the worst referee in the world - EVER. And that includes Sunday park referees.

Firstly, thank you for the compliment about me being "Intelligent" but alas I admit to being cerebrally challenged.

Regards the rest, all I am doing is expressing my opinion. Am I NOT allowed to do this even if many disagree ? All I see is a constant Clattenburg barrage and vitriol which I fervently disagree with hence my retorts.

Interestingly enough I was in a pub the other day and got speaking to a couple of elderly Palace supporters who totally agreed with me about Clattenburg and they both thought he was a quality referee. So NOT a "Touchy subject" universally !

Anyway, must go out now !

Yes, of course you're allowed to express an opinion. Equally, I'm allowed to query it. Far be it from me to advise a gentleman of 'elder statesman' status like yourself but to advocate Clattenburg as a great referee (as you seem hell-bent on doing) is little short of inflammatory on this site. I realLy do feel that you need to address and (try to) justify the instances I've given you which suggest the opposite. With respect, the opinion of two old buffers of your acquaintance doesn't really cut the mustard, especially when stacked against the welter of opinion that significantly differs.

I like you as a poster but your Clattenburg love-in is at significant variance with, dare I say it, the groundswell of opinion on the HOL. Please engage with this point rather than flounce off without at least attempting to justify your comments.

There. I've phrased this post in language that you'll understand. I (and I suspect many others) await your measured and considered response in due course.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

To help Willo out slightly - his argument is starting to feel like a heavy laden shopping Trolley out of control where you can't change direction - I recall Mark making a mess of our game at Upton Park last season by sending off Kouyate incorrectly when we were 2-1 down. Sadly the list of offences in the debit column is much much longer. He's regularly put our players'safety in danger as well.

I can't make up my mind as to whether Clatterf*ck is incompetent or corrupt. I suspect he could be both. The endorsement of the FA means d*ck all to me. Squeaky clean Allardyce is hardly a good example now, is he?

Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Think of it this way. Allerdyce had previous for being dodgy

Clattenberk has a history of being at best economical with the truth and dodgy financial dealings

Make of that what you will

the dignified don't even enter in the game

If it makes you all feel any better.... just google what Everton fans think of Mark Clattenberg -they are convinced he is so biased against them and that he should never referee another of their games again.
He wont know who to shaft first -them or us! as we are the away team he may be worse to them.
I am very much looking forward to the game, mostly for the Bolassie v old club battle.
