Appiah has scored quite a few goals in previous seasons when we have loaned him out to lower league clubs whereas Benteke Jnr only managed 2 goals for his previous club in 21 appearances so I sincerely hope that if more strike power is needed it's Wickham first followed by Appiah then Benteke last of all - that is if Pardew actually names three strikers on the bench Hehe despite the fact that it is 100% impossible for you to know.Priceless.

I've got three sons, and I reckon young Jonathon might well be the super-star of the season. He'll be keen as mustard to impress mum and dad and there's no way he will allow himself to fail with big brother Christian doing so well. A fantastic transfer. And Christian will be coaching the hell out of him. Money can't buy this level of personal motivation. And they'll be working together! No way is young Jonathon going to be sent on the pitch and not doing well. And by that I mean 'trying his best' as he'll need time and patience too.

You clearly do not understand the meaning of the word "doubt" and I'm guessing that if it were anyone else making the same point you would have ignored it but being me you just couldn't help yourself and had to try and have a dig

If you will kindly do me the courtesy of ignoring anything I post I will reciprocate as I'm sick of your constant sniping at everything I post whether it's in response to you or not

Regardless of his faults I hope Pards is a fixture here who knows he may even listen to us sometimes. I am really tired of the manager-go-round clubs are really deluded in their expectations.

Okay now. Smudge v Midland. Let's get this on. My money is on Smudge because he's Caterham's best footballer of a certain age in a 1 on 1 (unless I misremember) and would slaughter anyone. WW Baptist Hall. Edited by Ginger Pubic Wig (09 Sep 2016 7.49pm)

Alarming reading [Link] you could substitute the word newcastle for Palace and all those facts would marry up with our club.

For a website containing 'irrefutable facts' I can do a good job refuting this one: 'Alan Pardew’s league record when losing at half time stands at P 47 W 1 D 7 L 38 (10 points salvaged from a possible 141).' 1+7+38=46

If he spoke clumsily who cares. If he thinks Little Ben is up to it, then let's give the lad a chance. Sometimes managers gave to go with their gut and against the prevailing wisdom. And doing so pays huge dividends (think Fergie in 1990 cup final, sadly). (I'm still in the camp that Al isn't the answer but trying to be fair in this) Every part of this post I agree with. To many people are hell bent on finding anything to throw at Pardew it lessens any real argument they have and then by default people (including me) jump to defend him. Due to the utter stupidity of the OP. My view is that if Pardew has seen some talent in this lad that he thinks befits him being in the squad / team. Then I say go with it. Why not, sounds like he sees something a fair few mangers didn't see in Gayle so maybe he's on to something. Who are we to judge without having seen him? I'll be shocked if Parish let's Pardew get away with the shocking form we had last season. It's his time to make things work over the next month or so. Parish is no mug and I'm not certain but I didn't hear of any contract extension. Parish will pull the trigger if necessary (I think, IMO) But butchering Pardew with all these dumb arse OP is ridiculous hence why everyone gets on the OP case. Dumb arse threads don't mean we think Pardew is the meshia...
