All this talk of bringing in Wilshere, Rincon and Lima must be hugely unsettling for our current crop of midfielders ...and 2 league wins in 23 games in 2016 is unsettling for fans too. Hence massive changes this transfer window.

I'd be very happy with Thomas Rincon or Lucas Lima..lets try and get one of these over the line! One more striker..well, I think Connor deserves some praise. He is trying, he has potential. I do criticize him and I think we as fans are harsh on him, but the lad has a future..He hasn't done much yet, but maybe the jury is still on him. Central Mid is where we need an injection of pace and skill. Honestly, Cabaye doesn't look like the same player. Either he is carrying a knock (which has been for how long?) or he is really losing pace.

What a brilliant day!! Bids in play Tomas Rincon - Genoa seem to be negotiating in public. We bid £6.5, they ask 8.5m and settle on £7.5m. Bargain!!! (I have no idea why we need him though as we have Cabaye, McArthur, Ledley plus at a push Mutch, Lee & Puncheon as defensive midfield.) Paper talk James McCarthy - great player but I'd rather spend less on Rincon. Parrot

If we can get an attacking midfielder over the line more than happy. Whole of the spine of the team improved, really lacking last season through that area in my opinion. A decent defensive midfielder would be the icing on the cake.

Wilshere as he is already proven in the league and the other transfer looks like a can of worms as far as I can see. In fact I'd personally have both in an ideal scenario and bump on a DM. However Rincon as although he isn't proven in this league as well we have better cover in DM should it turn sour. Tough tho as McCarthy has played with JMac and Palace love a McCarthy around the place. I'd possibly be looking at moving Cabaye further up also with this up grade whoever joins.

The Brazil lad is an unknown for sure and with 26 hours to go may be a waste of valuable negotiation time. Parrot

Wilshire will get injured pretty quickly as he will have to work harder in our midfield.

Who knows ! But today will show, I'm hoping for wilshere, yes he's injured a lot but half of that's his own fault. Sometimes he keeps possession to long runs into a dead end and gets chopped down. But if we use him as a no10 get him playing one twos he could be very effective at unlocking defences.

We are favourites for Jack on breakfast news this morning! Fingers crossed. That would be 6 first teamers signed. Parrot
