Giving up on players we have procured seems awful for the club. He can play second fiddle while he's looking for the right performance push.

We haven't given up on him. He was given a good run last season.

If anyone's interested he's £4.5m on Fantasy Premier League.

Could be a bargain buy.

Being a very quick-witted person, I think I've sussed that "stripey Nigel plastic" is meant to be a derogatory description. But what does it actually mean in the context of this thread?

I've had him in from the start as back up to De Gea, just waiting until he gets hold of the 1st Team spot fully

He won Ligue Un goalkeeper of the last year and the year before. I know it's Ligue Un, but it's impressive given that Marseille were s***e last year thanks to their horrendous owners.

Also, I wouldn't be too worried about him settling into English football, given the infrastructure around him (Benteke being born in Kinshasa as well as leaving from a French (and Dutch)-speaking country, and Souare and Cabaye leaving for the PL from France).

Some geezers in the Holmesdale were chanting (to the Proclaimers) "Mandanda (Mandanda), Mandanda (Mandanda), da da lat da da." Would be quality if we could get Holmesdale on the first Mandanda and Arthur Wait on the second.

All good. Nothing bad.

Interesting papier maché effigies?

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

Hennessey picks up a mysterious injury from nowhere in midweek. Much like Speroni did last season when Pards wanted to slot Hennessey into the number 1 spot. He has done this before in other positions from memory.

given that in the press conference AP said that he brought Mandada in so that he could change the way we play you can be fairly confident he'll be no.1 before long. Wayne hasn't inspired much confidence in many people and to me it always looks like he's playing in slow motion. I'm hoping Steve gets the nod today to see what he can do.
