That made me chuckle, no chance the club giving anything away. It's all about money to them now sadly.

I think its been about money since long before CPFC2010 - its less about money now, than when they were spending 5m a season to keep us afloat. When we were making a loss, none of us dipped deeper into our pockets to put money into theirs.

But now we expect the club to fix just about any problem and are determined to spend the profits for them? I think they're less about money now than ever before - Because now we actually have a profit, we have more supporters than we can sell tickets too etc.

I get where people are coming from. But when they honoured our season tickets from Jordan, did anyone say, no, we'll buy a new one instead.

I doubt it.

I'm happy to see Palace making a profit, but I in no way did anything other than buy tickets and go to games to 'demand a share of that sweet premiership money'.

And they did just spend 27m on a striker. Which is the third time, I believe, in six years that they've broken our transfer record.

Problem is one of expense. Verification projects are very expensive business, requiring a large infrastructure testing environment that has to be maintained, as well as a employment of several professionals to perform testing, and design testing programs.

The reality is that for most football clubs (which aren't very good businesses, even the profitable ones) its unachievable beyond a 'sample' test. Especially when the cost of failure is simply inconvenience. Reality is no one is going to give up going to games on the back of one or two experiences on the first day of the season.

It'd be nice, but I doubt people would be happy to pay extra on their tickets to cover the cost of the testing infrastructure, consultant, engineers and test leads.

Have to disagree ... This is old and tested technology .... The club should be taking the suppliers to the cleaners.

I hope this is why there has been no recognition or response to the shambles.

Hopefully due to legal procedures against the suppliers they aren't allowed to publicly acknowledge it...although it's probably just that no one cares.

You have expressed yourself, at length, beautifully.

Just a thought regarding the changes made at the start of each season. The players warm up with pre-season matches; is there not a case for Selhurst Park being warmed up as well, with the last home pre season match being accessed free - without further payment - as a means of ensuring that season ticket holders get their tickets (which can be tested) in good time.

Completely agree about the OP as well as the bit in bold...

I seriously have issues in todays iT literate society how clubs STILL have problems getting tickets out to Holders in good time. It's clearly a cost issue and based on the likelihood that multiple clubs use the same provider. However, it's far from insurmountable for the club to produce cards and send them out from the club itself rather than relying on a 3rd party...I mean all they are are cards with RFID chips in them which can simply be activated once full payment has been received.

That way, as you state pre season games can be used to test the cards/emtry systems way in advance be allowing Season Ticket holders in for free in order to attract enough to the game to give it a reasonable stress test.

Biggest load of tripe I have ever read.
I run my own business, its successful in as much as I make decent money and look after my family first and workers/customers second (I make no apologies for that-one has never affected to other.)
You have absolutely ZERO idea of what you are talking about.

what p*sses me off is that Parish is always going on about improving the "match day experience", but after years of being at the helm, we are still experiencing the same old sh*tty service. I thought he was actually looking into this and trying to make a difference. Seems nothing much has really changed.

I went to the game last night. Stood there 5 minutes while the steward at the gate tried to get my paper ticket to scan and release the turnstile. Even though there was a very small crowd there it was a long Que for some cold drinks at half time. I suggested on another post whilst waiting in said que its a shame they don't put a load of vending machines in for people who just want crisps, sweets and water / soft drinks. Might speed things up considerably.

Not a great experience where we were sat so I believe there will be a letter of complaint (first one ever in 40 years of him going) headed the clubs way from my brother who had tickets last night for the same seats he sits in every week and we ended up moving due to the behaviour of some of the people sat around us and the toothless simpletons who call themselves security stewards (shrug shoulders and walk the opposite way) was their way of dealing with the problem...

All this "we don't want to be corporate and soulless, it's better it stays crap like it's always been" doesn't wash with me.

This is our 4th season in the Premier League. We support an established premier league club that charges premier league prices for the "matchday experience".

It is not unreasonable to expect to receive your ST more than the day before the first game. It is not unreasonable to expect it to work on turning up. It is not unreasonable to expect to be able to buy good quality food and drinks without being ripped off. It is not unreasonable to expect toilet facilities that are clean, well maintained and plentiful.

All of this can be achieved without affecting the "soul" of the club. We have made great strides forward on the pitch but off of it progress has been much less impressive. There should be no shame in supporters making CPFC2010 aware of this and expecting them to do more than just talk about putting it right.

Has anyone had a response from the club regarding complaints they have emailed in?

Sadly not a dickie bird!

it right now is only going to sum things up as what i suspected in my email to all be true. results picking up will help but I really do feel this could be my last year as a loyal season ticket holder.

never thought the day would actually come.

I understand there is a new manager in charge of the ticket office with new ideas and stricter enforcement of rules & procedures. In other words he is trying to make an impression which you begin to suspect includes the words "not me guv".

Have you thought of scanning/taking a picture of your letter and using Twitter to send it direct-ish to Parish? He has a whole PR company set-up now to run the affiars of the club, why it is based in Central London who knows. He is @ceo4tag on Twitter
