Yes frickin we need benteke but not at the cost of a 30 million winger, we need both, I agree cpfc can't go mad re transfers, but it was clear our squad was a championship squad, so money will need to be spent this year, it doesn't mean we need to spend like this every year ! It deserved a spend I think over 9 strikers tried and failed or seen as failures in 3 seasons ,

Surely we need to strengthen the wide positions if YB leaves. Robbie Brady would be a good shout as he can play left back and left wing.

Not going to happen. Trust me IF they spend the money it'll be on another striker

O come on if true and we have been offered 26 mill for a player that cost next to nothing we would be mad not to take it. Why do you think we boight Towsend. To replace Bolasie.

This will give us more funds to bring in the strikers we need.

To be honest Bolasie is all tricks and skills Cant cross cant shoot to a consistantly high standard.

Grab the dosh.

Guys, he's 27, doesn't score enough and doesn't create enough.

Lovely bloke, will be fondly remembered but 25m! If rumours are true and we're getting Ashley young as a replacement for a lower fee it's a no brainer.

If it helps fund two top quality strikers coming in it is a no brainer.

If it means the best wideman this pre-season gets closer to the first team in Sullay Kaikai it's a no brainer.

I would love us to keep Bolasie out of sentiment alone. But 25m!

If the offer is 25 million, it makes sense to sell. He's good player, but that's above what he's worth in my opinion. Townsend and Wilf are both just as good as he is, if not better. You also have to factor in the fact he's going to be unavailable for two months next season due to the AFCON.

Sad to see him go, but I think it's the right time.

Sorry but if the Benteke signing does get over the line that is a serious upgrade on Bolasie who is inconsistent at best, and rarely delivers either goals or a half decent delivery into the box.

Benteke and Wickham in the middle is going to scar the c*@p out of most defences.

------------------------------------------------------

Wickham will play second strong to Benteke. Pards isn't signing Benteke (hopefully) to play alongside Wickham.
