Not sure he would be Moyes' cup of tea!

Younger striker - you mean like Bamford?!

We could do a lot worse than hold onto Campbell...

I'm not so sure we could, without actively. Granted Campbell isn't totally without value, but he's so far cost the club around 4m, excluding any bonuses, including his transfer fee.

Basically he's Calvin Andrew for the Premier League. But then Big Cal only cost us 460,000 minus the loan fees and wages paid by Millwall, Brighton, Swindon and Leyton Orient (which means he could even have made us money).

Its hard to see any reason for keeping Campbell, even if its having to play a young potential, or a six man midfield with Puncheon and Townsend as attacking midfielders.

I agree, very good post. He'll do a good job and get his share of goals in the Championship, but clearly a bench play at best in the PL. However, given we have only one other striker who has played in the PL at the club (Wickham) we shouldnt get rid until we get a couple in.

Manager & Board at CPFC are putting on a fantastic impression of a swan at present. They seem to be moving serenely across the top of the fast moving river of the Premiership transfer merry go round whilst below the waterline they are paddling like mad.

Or are they? We don't actually know!

Campbell may be a nice fella however just not good enough for P/L so CPFC are left with just one recognised striker which with less than 3 weeks to the start of the new season is a little worrying.

Keeping hold of him and putting his name on the 25 man squad up to December 2016 means you are limiting your options. We did this with Paddy and he just occupied a squad position for 18 months and we could not replace.

Bold & decisive management is being asked for however will the transfer poker playing faces at CPFC be a detriment or the making of us

Only time will tell!
