14 goals in the prem last season. this season was treated like a kid, faced half the number of starts as last time and still found the net as much as any of our current squad. pulis is a t***. Well I never, shaping up at the moment as a double B strike force at Palace: Berahino and Benteke ...I think I'll reach for thesmelling salts...!

Is Pardew trying to recreate Steve Coppells team ? Talk of this Benteke - Berahinio partnership has all the hallmarks of Wright and Bright. I thought football had moved on, but do things come round again ?

Sorry but leave the stats to one side. Whether or not we sign him Berahino is a quality player and will only get better and better. Comparing him to Gayle is frankly just laughable. With a fresh challenge and a regular starting place he will be looking scoring 15 plus league goals a season.

I really cannot understand why anyone would not be just a little bit excited about this. Saido Berahino is obviously a player of outstanding potential. A player who was rightly being touted as a future international not that long ago.

Gayle in my view adds little to the side at present, his work rate off the ball is poor at this level so he needs to either move on or go out on loan to get these skills or possibly get back his confidence

I'd be far more enthused if we had two wingers that would feed him the ball...but seeing as we don't i'd like us to concentrate far more on players that could supply the strikers with chances.

Sign Berahino and send him out on loan until January. not that palace sign anyone i talk about this much

We are not Man U, City or Chelsea but little Crystal Palace.

No but Pardew did play a loose 4-4-2 (or at least 4-4-1-1) with Bolasie in the #10/2nd forward role. So nothing to suggest he isn't open to the idea of playing 2 strikers. If - and it is a massive and very unlikely to be realised if - we signed both Benteke and Berahino I have little doubt it would be with the complete intention of playing both Edited by OknotOK (20 Jun 2016 3.07pm)
