Charlton last played in the PL 2006-07 when they finished 19th and were relegated when Pardew was manager - he was in charge for 19 league games.Dowie was manager for start of the season, he was in charge for 12 league games. 2006-07 PL 19th Relegated

They never recovered after firing Curbishly. Funnily enough someone expressed these exact sentiments to me yesterday. Curbishley left at the end of the 2005-06 season with Charlton in 13th place in the PL.He was replaced by Iain Dowie.
