I'd take Townsend anyday very direct not scared to shoot if have him on the right and put wilf in the middle. The quick feet of wilf would cause havoc against cb's.

If we wanted him why didn't we sign him in Jan? He clearly must have been desperate to leave Spurs and had we actually been interested you would have thought being a London side and not as bad as Neecastle we might have been an attractive option

Depends how much CP prioritise getting another ace wide player when we already have 2 in Zaha and Bolasie

Two spurs supporters I know well would have albeit a while ago swapped Lennon and Townsend for yannick and zaha in a heartbeat. I don't think it's a position that needs any more additions unless departures happen.

Andros Townsend We'd be looking much better. One or two from abroad and the squad starts looking a bit better.

Said it before but will repeat anyway. Spurs were happy to offload and he's now at a club on the verge of relegation. Someone has already commented that he might not want to compete for a place. If true, that's a b*ll*cks attitude. His PL stats have been quoted and don't stack up to that much. Woefully one-footed and a squad player at best which, for £70k plus a week would not be very good business at all. If you're in any doubt, that's a "No" from me thanks.
Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes. |

Reading a book at the moment about a guy that spent a year following scouts around (was a few years back when Butland was on loan at Shrewsbury and Bamford had just signed for Chelski). Some real intersting insights none more so than Liverpool more than intersted in Joniesta. Anyway back on subject, he interviewd 4 very well respected and experienced scouts who to a man said that Lascalles has everything. Quick, Strong, reads game well and not flustered, compared him to Rio Ferdinand. I would love to see him at palace

Still the best man on the pitch last month when they played us

This seems to suggest that we do need another attacking mid/ winger to push Bolasie and zaha and to cover injuries and to simply give us more cutting edge going forwards

After seeing him pretty much singlehandedly trying to stave off relegation I would like to see us get a bid in for him if they go down. Likewise Sissokho.

I find the comments about his attitude surprising. He looks very hardworking, players that are as good as he is at dead ball situations tend to be, you don't get that good without extra practice! He has goals in him consistently something our wingers lack. English so should we lose Yannick (and Sako, not that that's a great loss) during the AFCON we would still have quality wide players. Deals with the press in a good way and is at least as good as we have if not better. Would be ecstatic with this.
