Don't get over confident with the Euros because you luckily beat Germany,it should have been 3-3,because of the ridiculous disallowed German goal called offside by the Italian linesman.Appointment with specsavers required. It should have been 3-2 if Butland had kicked the ball out when he knew he was f***ed. Only real mistake Sven made as manager was that game. 11 subs and Francis Jeffers IIRC... You're getting smashed this time around!

You need to blend experience with youth, can't have too much of a young naive team, an exiting set of players but where are the leaders? Milners a good athlete and a workhorse, dependable and you need players who do the stuff you don't see, closing down etc
How about we make the opposition worry about shutting down our players, while we run their midfield ragged chasing shadows? We can do that, we simply choose no to.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

might have been the worst thing for us. i think many, like myself were going into the Euro's for once with very low expectations. Now we've beaten France and Germany people are getting excited again! Me included!!! FOOTBALL IS COMING THE F*CK HOME!!!!!!!!

You gotta have a bit of both especially at international level and our flair players are too gung ho. If you're a team that soaks up pressure and hits on the break you gotta do the first bit well, i.e. close down and intercept, and defend well as a team when you don't have the ball. Otherwise we'll just be carved open at will

I think Milner and Walcott are England's ball and chain. Please Roy drop them now!

You're getting smashed this time around! Sven's only mistake was being consistent, and the fans delusional demand to 'push on', when England as a team were achieving very reasonable targets in tournaments. Ever since he went, England have simply been flattered because qualification is rigged towards the seeded teams - But even McClaren managed to f**k that up. England will disappoint at the Euros, as usual, because of reasons well outside the managers control. The manager will get the bullet, and the 'new hope' will be appointed, who will qualify for the world cup by minnows, and struggle the moment they come up against a decent team.

JamieMartin721 I agree with the general thrust of your sentiments. It will be "Same old, same old" as far as I am concerned. Edited by Willo (30 Mar 2016 9.43am)

It's not about these two.... for the record neither put a foot wrong last night as far as I could see and I'm not a fan of either by the way. The referee gave some odd decisions - especially ignoring the foul before their 2nd goal and he could have awarded us a penalty early on. The problem we had was in defence. What has happened to Stones? He's looking fallible and not the player I thought he was earlier in the season. Rose gets carried away attacking and is not a rock solid defender. If I was Woy I admit I would have gone with Alli in midfield and started Kane again... but he was experimenting to see how other players coped and I guess he got his answer. Vardy proved his worth, so Woy cannot now harbour any doubts from him surely? On another night and with another referee we would have won 2-0....
