Had mine done in January 2015 so hopefully I can give you an up to date account of the experience!! Firstly, don't panic!! It's not nearly as bad as you think it's gonna be. The recovery time is more painful than the procedure and that's the truth. The injection to numb each bollock is of course uncomfortable but you genuinely don't feel any pain when the antiseptic kicks in. You can feel a few things being pulled around and it feels weird but doesn't actually hurt!! I was told I had to shave all my pubes off before the op, including balls (strange experience that was!) in case a stray hair gets into the stitches and causes an infection so I'd be surprised if they did it if you haven't shaved. Recovery time is about 10 days to 2 weeks. Your balls will bruise, change colour and feel like they weigh about 10 stone each!! At times I used to sit on the sofa cupping them in my hands and lifting them up a bit to try and take the weight off them where they feel so heavy!! Don't w*** or shag to soon either. Your first boner will make your balls ache like f*** and first time you get on the missus you will actually feel quite nervous!! If I could give one tip it would be listen to some music on your phone during the procedure. It helps take your mind off it and you can't hear things being pulled about or scalpels clanking around etc.. I listened to Prodigy during mine.... They should let you listen to something.. They let me do it... Good luck!!!
Would you say five days off work afterwards is enough R&R time?

I'm still firing on all cylinders On a lighter note, I know a couple of chaps that have had serious complications with it.

Would you say five days off work afterwards is enough R&R time? Depends on what your job is. If it's sitting behind a desk then yes.. if it's quite physical and there's a risk of getting whacked in the balls by something then I would say a few days longer.

Had mine done 3 yrs ago at 35. In at 10am Saturday morning. Injections worst part. Procedure took 15 mins, bit uncomfortable, but no pain. Took advice. 2 pairs of pants pulled right up supporting the padding. 2 days on the sofa. Went to work on the Monday and felt fine all day. That evening though it felt like I'd been kicked between the legs. Next day fine and no further issues. No swelling, no bruising. Probably went to work one day too soon. So 3 days rest would be my advice. Office job with 30min drive each way. Edited by CheeseRolls (11 Dec 2015 10.14pm)

seriously chaps. Just use the withdrawal method. It works. There is no need for this male genital mutilation.

Had my done about 10 years ago. Not an unpleasant procedure at all. Only slightly embarrassing as I had to present my self in the nude in front of two middle aged female nurses!
