Bamford seems to be totally uninterested whenever he comes on

Paul Hinshelwood, many people forget he started out as a centre forward and my uncle hated him with a passion!!! When we were driving up from Windsor and he was selected to play because Swindlehurst was suspended my uncle nearly turned the car around.
He was right another 0 - 1 home lose to a s*** northern third division team.
Great Great days!!!

I remember Gareth Taylor used to get a lot of stick. Striker who only scored twice for us.

Gabbiadini scored 7 in 25 according to 'The Complete Record'.

Alan pinkney, tommy vansitart, ross jenkins, jim scott, danny white, per bartram, alan whittle, just to name a few.

I thought Danny White and Alan Whittle did quite well for us. Was there another White , a winger that joined us from a Scottish club that I am confusing Danny White with ? Anyway the Scottish White was good !

Alan Whittle? Really?

I wonder whether any other oldies will agree with the inclusion in this list of Denis Uphill. Aptly named, he was the eternal plodder. And I will never ever forget one miss at the Whitehorse end; about three yards out, in the centre of the goal, and unmarked, he lifted it several yards over the crossbar.

And who remembers Borg Thorup (or Throw-up, as a mate of mine called him)? Probably almost nobody - he only played once.

I don`t know if you went to every game JR, but I am sure it was more than once at both ends of Selhurst, and elsewhere too.

Is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour? [Link]

In terms of current team, Fraizer Campbell.

Recent past --

Sean Scannell
Danny Butterfield
James Scowcroft

Wot ? Danny after that perfect hat trick. Yes, he used to hoof the ball a lot, but unpopular ? Surely not.

Ha ha - your Unc was spot on. Doris may have been the worst centre forward we have ever had.

But, by golly, he is the best right back we have ever had. By far.

Perry (Sucks)ling
Alex Dire
Rudi (can't) Hedman

Not true. Perry was never on the boo boys hymn sheet and was a vital member of the '89 promotion team.

He was a bloody good goalie but is only remembered for the 0-9

Remember Tom White I seem to remember he was the brother of John White who was in Spurs double winning side or some relation anyway.

Jonny Byrne got some flack when he returned to Palace for his second spell, way past his prime.

Another player I remember from the sixties was Derek Keven made Aylott look like Messi!

Another favourite target was Mick Hill centre forward who Big Mal bought from Ipswich.

Never sure why he was called Doris?Something to do with Doris Day?
His brother Martin who had is career cut short due to injury was an excellent player too.
