I believe Dudley in the Midlands is the Biggest stand alone Town without a Railway Station. Although Oldham is not far behind !!!

I heard that honour belonged to Corby?

Or maybe Dudley is the biggest to have never had a rail station as Corby I think had one briefly.

Quote Anyone else got any train anecdotes or any favourite train based moments from films or TV?

In the same month, I feel asleep in Munich and work up in Budapest, fell asleep in Bratislava and work up in Berlin and finally fell asleep in Southend and ended up back in Southend.

I once got on a train at Balham and was travelling to norbury, I was in a compartment with one other gentleman , during the journey, the gentlemen leaned forward and tried to touch my p****, I found it very upsetting, I was about 14 and it was my first experience of a homosexual, but wasn't my last, the dirty b*stard.

Did you get a semi?

Maybe the club could do an item on how the team trains.

Wait no, that would be too relevant.

Back in my heavy drinking days. I was in Seattle & deciding how to get back to NYC. I was downtown where the Mariners play & the Seahawks(& Sounders)play both stadiums being right next to each other. I decided to go into Kings Station which again is right near the stadiums to see how much it would cost. Well to my great surprise a 2500 mile journey taking close to 50 hours only cost about $250-00. Without sounding to Train Spotterish it was the best Money I ever spent with some of the greatest scenery in the world. It was also a great drinking session !!! Highly recommended !!!!

Strangely there is another station on the DLR called Mud Chute and I would have thought this may have been closer to Upton Park.

Just think Wet Spam have a station near the ground called West Ham, and they are happy (?) to change this for Pudding Mill Lane!

West Ham station is about a 35 minute walk from the Boleyn Ground.

EDIT:- the Olympic Stadium is about an extra 5 minutes walk from West Ham station

We've decided to get the train to Spain rather than fly. Has saved us about 500 sovs.
