The access is s***e. As is the accent. It's nice, apart from the locals who think they're a seperate race. Quote
This. Been to Cornwall many times over the years but I noticed this too when I met some Cornish folk when we lived in Spain! A weird bunch imo. As for access, left Whyteleafe at 2.15pm on the Saturday that Utd won the FA Cup on their way to the treble and was in StIves bay at 6.15pm. But equally we've had many 7hr+ journeys. The South West DESERVES far better access. Screw HS2, spend the money to go somewhere far nicer! Big business will flourish and the tourist 'window' will be far far greater which can only be a good thing for many locals as well as those who fancy a quick w'end away to somewhere nice. It may also help to cut out the inbreeding Going during the FA cup final was the only reason for that one good journey. I'd sooner do it in the middle of the night.
