We should now have enough cash to sign both of them. Nothing's been decided at Liverpool yet.

Backing up Bolasie, Chamakh and Zaha needs more than one proper Premiership level striker.

Either Ings or Austin would be fine by me. I'll add Perez and Cisse from the Toon, who are being wasted up there. Don't overlook some of talent in Europe and the Americas either. Bradley Wright Phillips has been prolific with Red Bull NY and won't cost as much as MLS usually sells for less than value. Altidore is not Premier quality but Chris Wondolowski at San Jose may very well be. He's big, strong and likes getting stuck in the dirty zones.

Likely be snapped up by Brighton then.

With Gayle looking likely to leave this summer we need to use him as a bargaining tool.

QPR and Burnley will need a decent striker next year when Austin and Ings leave.

Why not Gayle + £££

Could be a good way of getting our Striker

Agree. Use Gayle to get Ings as Burnley need him and appeal to QPR's pocket for Austin as they need the money badly.

Also, you look familiar...

Maybe Gayle + Jedi as a swap? Sound like Jedi may be on his way (but that's only the DMail) so who knows.

Looking forward to 2 months or 'what if, maybe, rumours, gossip' and then 2 days of last minute buys just before the new season ... Or are we past that now?

We'd do bloody brilliantly to get either him or Austin. Have a feeling we'll go to the foreign market, though.

I sincerely hope we've seen the back of Sonogo!!! What a waste if space and money!

Maybe the new billionaire sponsorship deal will get us some good leverage.

Not sure on Ings. I can't help but think he'll be next seasons 'white elephant'

Agree very overrated for 1 goodish season top flight it's a gamble the age is there for potential but could be a consistent flop on the big stage.

Hasn't Pards already stated that Gayle's part of his plans next year?
