I thought you modern 'progressive' chaps were supposed to be non-judgemental about sexual antics?

Kermit I expected more class from you, who are you to make a judgement on the marriage of someone else especially at a time when someone has just lost their spouse. Time and a place.

I honestly don't get it. This heart wrenching for Rio Ferdinand. He has just lost his spouse - I get that - and that the kids must be, obviously, absolutely heartbroken and that is nothing less than totally tragic but with all the affairs - one for over a decade - and the so many more which came out in the court case which he lost after trying to gag the press - why are people feeling so sorry for him?

I genuinely don't understand. Did he really really love her? Strange way of showing it.

Just a stab in the dark, but could it be because his wife and mother of his young children has just died?

But nobody felt sorry for Prince Charles when Diana died. In fact, it seemed the whole country were pointing fingers at him. Did you feel sorry for him? I know I didn't.

Yes they were. Apart from that, of course, The Prince of Wales and Rio Ferdinand are alike in every respect, have they both ever been seen in a room together?

If someone dies, and you were linked to them at some point, it doesn't mean it's okay for it to become a compassion-less free for all.

Don't take either of my two contrasting posts above in isolation. I'm basically saying that we should either care at this time, or pipe down a bit. It's a sad time for the family. That shouldn't be so hard for any of us to understand. Nobody is perfect, but there's something to be said for appealing to our better, kinder nature.

Is this the same wife he cheated on many a time?

Is that of any importance?

Fuc*ing hell, there's a time and place kermit mate...

The kids have lost their mum. Very, very sad. Just can't feel the same for Rio because of the past.

Never had a problem with you, Kermit. This seems well out of character for you.

Regardless of what you think of him, he never deserved this! Expected better from you to be honest.

wish I could think of something witty about Kermit being a Muppet. Probably not the right thread for it though.

Rip once again Rebecca. A young mother of three dying of that absolutely awful disease is a tragedy no matter what walk of life she is from.
I hope that Rio can pick himself up from this and use his social standing to help do good in fighting this terrible disease so that one day things like this won't happen to young families any more.
