Except Palestinians / Syrians / Turks / Greek* of course

*depending on which version of St George you believe in

Are you just bitter that dragons are an endangered species now?

Not endangered, just better at hiding

In that case I've been conned. I've been giving £2 a month, just £2, to help dragons. It's not been for nothing though. I got a cuddly toy dragon and my dragon writes to me once a quarter.

...from Romania no doubt!!!

Georgia, more obviously.

And then AC Milan and Barcelona.

Late to the party (very late) but isn't AC Milan's St. George's Cross to do with them being set up by Englishmen, rather than a Milanese affiliation with George?

No, but they were founded by Englishmen.

"The St George's cross has been used as the flag of Milan from as early as the 10th century."

Optimistic as ever

Saw some Charlton scum having a party on a boat down the Thames. Looked quite a laugh TBH. Imagine your over-riding feelings being those of jealousy rather than disdain.

Got respect for anyone who took the day off to celebrate Englishness by drinking all day. Although they probably didn't need to.

I’m having a lovely St George’s day. I was getting irritated that nothing had come from the club but it has now so fair play.
Have a good one all.

Forever England.

The Englishman by G. K. Chesterton

St George he was for England,
And before he killed the dragon
He drank a pint of English ale
Out of an English flagon.
For though he fast right readily
In hair-shirt or in mail,
It isn't safe to give him cakes
Unless you give him ale.

St George he was for England,
And right gallantly set free
The lady left for dragon's meat
And tied up to a tree;
But since he stood for England
And knew what England means,
Unless you give him bacon
You mustn't give him beans.

St George he is for England,
And shall wear the shield he wore
When we go out in armour
With battle-cross before.
But though he is jolly company
And very pleased to dine,
It isn't safe to give him nuts
Unless you give him wine.

Corbynistas have their own private ceremonies, which include visiting his twitter account with LBC discussions etc.

Really quite impressed with the debates and with Corbyn himself.

But its very obvious that in order to do that, tories as well listening to Robert Buckland today, is that it has to be outside the party system, as if democracy within it is not possible.

Thoughts?
