Isn't Revan based around the timeline of the Knights of the Old Republic? Which was over a 1,000 years before the first films were set?

Think its near 4000 years.
Theres a load of theory crafting going on that the new bad guy is in fact Revan & he has mastered immortality through the force much like how Darth Plagueis (Emperor Palpatine's old master) managed, that doesnt make a whole lot of sense as revan was eventually defeated by both the Jedi & the Sith, I suppose its do-able to bring him back though.

The mountains are calling & I must go.

I am just as excited about this but this absolutely must include Kyle Katarn & Jan Ors as there has been an absolute ton of Lucas Arts licensed content about this starting with Dark forces that came out in 1995 & finishing with Jedi Academy in 2003 (aswell as a ton of books)

Alas everything was Lucas Arts & now its Disney so I do worry everything is going to be rewritten

As for the sixth, the poor quality crackling lightsaber suggests it's not an actually sigh trained sith but rather a new kid on the block. KOTOR while really detailed doesn't have to be stuck to historically. Also the Empire are called the first order in the upcoming movie rather than the remnant and the rebels are still called the resistance despite the fact that according to the books etc, they are the dominant force in the galaxy. I'm not too fussed as long as they write a good story. Really hope Oscar Isaacs character is Kyle Katarn though, and hope Bobba Fett features in the new trilogy's, the biggest badass Star Wars created. Ever.

Basically any non movie canon is subject to change so they could disregard all of the history of they wanted. As for the sixth, the poor quality crackling lightsaber suggests it's not an actually sigh trained sith but rather a new kid on the block. KOTOR while really detailed doesn't have to be stuck to historically. Also the Empire are called the first order in the upcoming movie rather than the remnant and the rebels are still called the resistance despite the fact that according to the books etc, they are the dominant force in the galaxy. I'm not too fussed as long as they write a good story. Really hope Oscar Isaacs character is Kyle Katarn though, and hope Bobba Fett features in the new trilogy's, the biggest badass Star Wars created. Ever.

interesting job indeed. used to work in The London Studios stage hand and props....blind date is not really on the same scale as what you do tho.

Not true at all. Clones have a very short life expectancy because of accelerated growth. Around the time of the first three films most of them had died out as cloning stopped. Hence Luke considering joining the galactic fleet.
