we don't need one we have a replacement sitting on the bench

Don't talk nonsense. We're a team with top ten aspirations next season. If a goalie the quality of Krull is available to us then we snap him up. Recent top half premier experience in any position on the pitch, especially a goalie, will need to be snapped up if avaiaoble and the price is right.

This.

As with Gayle, I can't help thinking that Hennessey really hasn't done quite enough to impress the people that matter (Pulis, Warnock, and Pardew). At the end of the day both Hennessey and Gayle were bought to compete for starting roles; I think certainly this year Hennessey went into pre-season to compete for the number 1 shirt and not to simply be a back up. Neither Hennessey nor Gayle, if we're honest, has done enough to cement a place in the team. That being the case, and if we have top half aspirations, I would not be surprised if one or both was moved on over the summer. Hennessey, if he stays and a player of Krul's quality is willing to join us, has a future only as a back-up.

Mike Ashley would probably sell his grandmother if Pards wanted her at Palace - that's how you get to be a billionaire.

Only if Angeline Jolie's your grand mother.

I think Gayle's done ok and we'd be mental to let him leave

Surely if the manager(s) thought Hennessey was a better choice than Speroni he would be playing. Must be number 2 for a reason.
If Krul becomes available i think we'd be stupid to not try & sign him.

As has already been said, Warnock was a Speroni fanatic. He didn't really inspire anyone by letting Murray go out on loan, or his poor team selections and coaching ability, while Pulis wasn't allowed to play him despite the fact he signed him.

As far as AP is concerned; that one is slightly puzzling, but as It's JS's testimonial season and we've been winning and earning points, so perhaps more than a little sentimentality came into play.

Seen quite a few vids of Wes, laddo. He is steadily developing into a very capable goalkeeper.
I`m dead chuffed for him.

Is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour? [Link]

Except score goals basically every time he's given the chance you mean?

Rob Green ?

He's been behind a wonky defence all season and has done alright. He'll be too good for the championship when they go down, and they'll need to offload players at a rate of knots.

He was fabulous in the South Africa World Cup and just as rock solid last week against Chelsea. Just what we are looking for.
