Second weekend coming up. I fancy England to win by 20+ points, Ireland to beat France in a close match and the Scotland Wales match to be really close and the draw looks a decent bet at 25/1.

England have been poor so far. Mentally they certainly arent anywhere near where they were in Cardiff. 18 -10 at the mo and they will win but not very convincing

still bemused how May keeps his place

I was watching the match with the Mrs and even though she knows little about rugby, she noticed how weak he was in the tackle to let in the Italians for a try and how greedy (or lacked the tactical nous)for a missed try opportunity for us that looked nailed on!

I have backed the no handicap draw along with the handicap draw Scotland +3 (16/1) and Scotland +7 (22/1).

I usually stick to backing horses but haven't been able to pick a winner for ages so just had a go on the Rugby for a change, beginners luck

Not much tbh. Haven't got much spare cash but it'll pay for my losses when Cheltenham comes along

So Week 2 out of the way and all pretty much went as expected.

England certainly down a gear mentally from Cardiff and despite the score stuttered for me and weren't convincing. JJ showed again why he is s starter and Johnny May why he is not.

Italy showed lots of promise early doors and lots of huff and puff but ultimately they really aren't good enough to compete at this level and their scores were more to England switching off as much as anything

Ireland v France was pretty turgid stuff. I cant believe France have gone all Southern Hemisphere in the positions that actually make French rugby what it is. Ireland looked decent enough without really going balls out.

Wales v Scotland was probably the most enjoyable game of the weekend for me. Scotland are better than the 2 defeats suggest but still are wooden spoon contenders - they will beat Italy though. Wales played better than last weekend and did control the game very well - played a lot of rugby in Scotland's half and will run Ireland and France close.

Ireland v England up next - should be a good un

I think you're being very kind about Wales. We were pedestrian and lacked quality. The game was certainly exciting but both teams made way too many errors.

My concern is that Wales look like a team that have just met and not the supposed most settled and experienced.

the dignified don't even enter in the game
