Sheesh last time I went to The Cinema was 1996 to watch Independence Day with Will Smith....

Did he enjoy it?

on DVD
The Loneliness of the long distance runner (BFI reissue)
4/10
Taken me ages to get round to watching this but it was dissappointing. I love Saturday night & Sunday morning and was hoping it would be similar but it was just too amateurish and unbelievable

Cinema
Mr Turner
7/10
I'm a big Mike Leigh & Tim Spall fan and their inclusion probably boosts the ratings a shade. Those without my rose tinted's on would probably find it over long. And Mr Turners life wasn't too exciting really so it was a shade bitty. Excellently acted as you would expect.

The Theory of Everything

Was deeply diappointed. The movie has been hyped up to a ridiculous degree. And Eddie Redmayne's performance was totally overrated.

If I want to see impressions, I'll watch McGowan, Coogan or Brydon. Redmayne plays Hawking as geek when young (easy for Eddie) and a gurning, lolling travesty later (easy for any competent actor).

The man may be a genius but his life, relationships and times were supremely uninteresting.

3/10

Lucy - 4/10

Great concept; however the development of the story was piss poor. Plus it got a bit ridiculous at the end if you ask me.

RIP staffie

I also loved it, but I love Wes Andersons movies, I think I could just watch him filming a garden.

Great fun sci-fi movie, once it gets going. Too much at the beginning, and too much reliance on poor science guff presented as fact holds it back.
