If one of our politicians was physically attacked due by a muslim we'd no doubt have a lot more sympathy. Funny that.

NO one is saying that 'Think'. It's the fact that people have said something's he doesn't like and he has called in his lawyers.

Well that's his legal right to do so he can do it, just like anyone else can if they feel they've been misrepresented. He's not kicking anyones head in though is he? It's not your legal right to physically assault someone for their beliefs, so of course perspective is needed. Alien to some I know.

I don't think you have read what he's suing for? It is because some on Twitter have called him Anti Semitic. No one to the best of my knowledge has threatened him with violence (recently. He's taking a BIG stick to dampen down open speech in other words he has financial clout. Your right up to a point of course regarding legal action, but its a cowards way out the anti semitic c*** !!

Well as long as no-ones threatened him with violence 'recently' that's okay then :-D.

He clearly thinks that he's not anti semitic and is happy to make that stand legally. Anti israel, anti zionist and anti semitic are not identical statements. Do you think Galloway would have a problem with a random British Jewish person he met in a pub? If so on what grounds would he?

Probably.

He famously walked out of an Oxford Union debate because one of the other debaters was an Israeli, and he hadn't been told. "I don't debate with Israelis'' was Galloway flouncing remarks.

The only thread with this mans name in the title should be followed by 'dead'.

Didn't the British government arm and supply Saddam Hussein in the 80s?

His party has seemingly contained some "lovely" people,as reported in 2012:

"London’s Jewish Chronicle has reported the comments of the British Respect Party’s woman’s officer, Naz Kahn, posted on Facebook September 30:

It’s such a shame that the history teachers in our school never taught us this but they are the first to start brainwashing us and our children into thinking the bad guy was Hitler. What have the Jews done good in this world??

The defense Kahn seemed to offer in a later post was she is “not a Nazi, I’m an ordinary British Muslim that had an opinion and put it across.” Respect’s hierarchy has condemned her statements of course, but unfortunately for them this is not the first time that the party – a coalition of dogged old socialists, Muslim interest groups, and anti-war types all united by anti-Zionism – has been accused of anti-Semitism. In 2010, Abul ‘Abz’ Hussain, a member of Respect’s National Council was found to have made jokes, again on Facebook, about Jews hoarding money. During a 2005 campaign in Bethnal Green and Bow in London, in which Labour MP Oona King was challenged by Respect’s George Galloway, King asserted that Respect activists had told voters not to elect her since she was Jewish, and argued that anti-Semitism was “used really effectively” during that campaign."
