Cardiff dont need the money so hell will freeze over before the tan man lets him join us. It's not up to Cardiff. If he has a clause where a bid of a certain amount triggers a buyout and they have to sell then it's entirely up to Caulker where he goes. All Cardiff can do is collect the money.
Given that a). we've publicly announced that the dispute has been settled, and b). they signed KG last week, don't you think that both Cardiff and Palace have got rather more important fish to fry than prolonging a silly dispute? On the evidence of this thread, I'd say that river of water is well and truly under the bridge in the minds of everyone except a few fans with too much time on their hands.

I honestly don't know. All Steve P said was that they had heard nothing from the Premier League since and that they didn't expect to since they had done nothing wrong. An agent told the club the team. This is apparently not uncommon! (hambo) Was hoping Syd had heard something with proper closure, and if no wrong doing, an apology!!? Technically yes. But I think you can probably conclude that a combination of the grovelling apology, the business done with KG, and the deafening silence about spygate means the episode is now closed to everyone's satisfaction. I doubt Cardiff want it raked up as it embarrasses them more than it hurts us and with the apology, albeit for something else, Tan can pretend he has bent Moody to his will. In my view, the story's over.

This would be a top signing for years to come, with the potential of a good sell on value as well. Might only be rumours but nice to see the types of players were being linked to.

The KG signing didn't go through the club as he was a free agent so it wouldn't have meant any involvement from us as a club at all. In terms of Caulker, looks like Everton have stepped in

Edited by MPE (16 Jun 2014 4.46pm) Is correct, "Hambo" did not say it had been settled. As there has been no official announcement it is likely all parties the PL and both clubs that as it was all hyped up by the media, to just let things cool down as there was no case. Tan is not the sort of person who would let things be swept under the carpet if he was in the right, so to save face has agreed for all parties to take a stance of silence on the matter.
