Again, you lot and your herd mentality. A guy posts a rumour, and you attack him for it. Posted this on the other thread, but just as applicable here... I understand the reaction, in that when a group hear something they don't want to happen, rather than entertain the notion that it might be credible, they attack the root and discredit the person. This way they don't have to confront the possibility of it being true. NO a guy posts BOLLOX.

Guy's I got told the worst thing about pulis, by someone who works at the training ground; OK, so he doesn't start by presenting his credentials. Tony Pulis' secretary?...I might worry a bit. The bloke who cleans the bog? I doubt he knows anything (other than whether TPs turds smell). In other words, the OPs failure to present a credible source for his "inside information" instantly undermines him. "Someone who works at the training ground" is a claimed connection that does little more than invite ridicule. pulis has been in and out of the office having talks with west ham. And his connection knows this how exactly? Even if he (or she) does work at the training ground and even if TP really is looking for a new job, do you actually suppose that he is advertising the fact that he's talking to West Ham to anyone who works at Palace or taking no precautions at all to keep the information secure? I'd say, on the contrary, he'd be attending meetings with West Ham as quietly as possible, in motorway hotels, and preferably going in and out with a stocking over his head. Certainly he'd be trying to be as anonymous as possible, if not going quite that far. I got told that they are offering him a lot more money then we are I am worried! Aaah, so your unidentified contact who works in an unidentified job at the training ground not only knows that TP is looking for a new position, he also knows who that job is with and, even better, he knows what it pays. That's a lot of information to be gleaned presumably on hearsay only. And he knows this because, presumably, Tony is the least discreet man in football and has taken no care at all to protect his own privacy. Further more, the man at the training ground knows more than the media (because this rumour hasn't been reported there), more than anyone in the West Ham hierarchy (because no one in the WHU community is talking about it) and more than anyone else at Palace (because no one here is talking about it either.) Like I said, the OP took a kicking because he wrote a pile of crap.
I love the "in and out of the office having talks with west ham" part. Conjures up images of TP frantically rushing in and out of an office, shouting "WEST HAM WANT ME AND THEY'LL PAY DOUBLE WHAT I'M ON HERE. GET ME A TAXI TO UPTON PARK NOW!!" at the top of his voice, so everyone within a 2-mile radius can hear what's going on. Not sure that's exactly how these kind of negotiations work.

It seems clear from all the interviews and comments that TP wants to build something big at Palace and wants reassurance from SP that they are sharing the same vision. The Paddy Power 5-4 Pulis to be next Newcastle manager is worrisome though...

If you don't mind Syd, I'm going to cut and paste this and use it on every tinpot rumour posted by Brigh2-0n/Chortletown/Knuckledragger numpties who are 'in the know'

The media, for whatever reason, seem to delight in running stories to unsettle us and then the bookies try to cash in. Unless I hear it from TP or CPFC2010 then I treat it as b@lls. The two chief rumour-mongers on here both bottled putting their money where their gobsh1te was, which should tell you how much credence you should give to their cr@p

Total and utter hogwash about Pulis and W.Ham. Their supporters don't like Allardyce because he doesn't play the so called "West Ham way" and the perception of Pulis is ???? There would be a furore if by some chance W.Ham went for Pulis ! So many rumours around - W.Ham going to sack Allardyce to be replaced by Poyet, Norwich might go for Sherwood, Pardew on his way and Moyes would be a 'Good fit' for both Newcastle and Tottenham etc etc etc . Lets see how many come to fruition ! Edited by Willo (11 May 2014 11.22am)

Don't they have end of year exams to occupy the idle minds of teenagers today? I expect this rubbish during the school holidays but its a bit early. If all these clubs had wanted TP he was out of work before he joined us. All the interviews don't say he is leaving, that he is unhappy. They say the opposite. He wants to push on and build the club. I await the end of the world cup when a host of over ambitious national federations will sack their managers as they did not win. Then we can have our manager linked with not just England but Europe and maybe the world. Oh and if anyone is interested I have a mate who delivered a parcel to the training ground. He heard from a top geezer at the club Real Madridare keen to swap Bale for Yannick only problem being Barca are waiting Iin the wings with an offer of Messi and £40 mill
