Hasn't the Premiership got enough deluded supporters (W Ham, Newcastle etc.) as it is?

They deserve nothing but misery, disappointment, heartache and League Two football.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Let them stay in our shaddows forever, it's where they belong.

Brighton have a good infrastructure. They have the new ground and a new training ground being built. If they are in the same league as us there is a chance they will surpass us. And like hell do I want that to happen.

Agreed.

I would rather have Brighton in PL than Cardiff.

I also prefer laughing at them whilst looking down on them from a great height. If we have them in the PL there will be endless gloating about crowd size at the Amex.

That 'we get big crowd sizes at home and you didn't' thing is so pathetic, is that really all they can brag about? I guess it is. It's on the pitch what counts. Our attendances, like most clubs who's would if they went up to the Premier League, have gone up to capacity now anyway. It'll be 'our cheeseburgers are cheaper than yours' next. The fact that they have the worst Away support in the Championship really does say it all (I'm sure that is what somebody posted on Twitter somewhere).

Anyway, it's an old rivalry which has been very one-sided in recent years, until up the last few years of course, but beating them in the playoffs the way we did and staying up this season the way we have has really shown who's boss. Long may they remain in our shadow.

I definitely don't want them in the Premier League with us so hopefully they won't even make the playoffs. I'd rather just have a rival in the league below than wanting to play and beat them in the same league. Rivalries are good in football but all i really care about is Palace doing well, I'll worry about Brighton, Millwall and Charlton as rivals (if Charlton count) as 'rivals' when they are actually playing us or competing against us in the same half of a table and that's about it. Although I will be paying a keen interest into whether Charlton and Millwall stay up i must admit!

I reckon there are a few Palace fans who secretly want this to happen - after all, it would make the league more interesting to have a big rival to play against.

Maybe just briefly so we can enjoy sending them back down again.

Absolutely. We don't have any rivals in the Prem so it would be good to see them in there with us even though obviously it would only be one season for them.

Not fussed really, but can't see it as they will most probably f*** it up royally in the play-offs.

Derby or Wigan would be my bet to come up.
