I like him, he's a good player, I can't understand why he gets overlooked by England.

Are you sure it's the worst penalty ever? [Link]

Agree - especially when you look at what else is out there for selection

I have not read all of the thread but I assume that because City became foul of the Finance stipulations and as a result have to list UK players in the CL squad they will need Richards to comply with the ruling.

He told talkSPORT yesterday: "I've not played enough here [Fiorentina]. On Sunday there is the last game then I'll sit around a table and I'll discuss with my family. It's the best thing to do going forward. I'll go to a club that will guarantee me a regular place. In Italy it had been assured me I would have played as a regular, but they changed squad and the coach believed to have better players than me in my same role."

I heared the same thing and I think he would be an excellent signing for us, I have always rated him as a CB, a great athlete and I think he would act as a good understudy/replacement to Delanny

Yes injuries have hampered his progress but he's just gone an entire season injury free.

Has been a casualty of city's new found wealth and being kept out of the team by the likes of zabaleta/sagna or kompany/toure & lescott isn't ecatly a fair stick to beat him with.

He's got a point to prove, and will wages really be that much of a problem? I've no idea what he earns but it's not like its 100k a week, probably more like 50k a week which I'm sure he would accept 40k to actually establish himself in another PL team.

I meant to say that although he is primarily a rb i think he would actually be best as a cb and having a player who can play in multiple positions is useful

Agree entirely. Think he would be a very good influence in the dressing room. Reminds me a little of Glen Johnson when he lost he's way abit and Portsmouth snapped him up. Played probably the best football of his career there. Feel Richards could do the same.

As a right back - no we do not need we have Ward, Kelly and Mariappa in that order. I can see the potential of playing micah as a CB - but has he history of playing in this position? - or can he be converted?...if so then perhaps worth a punt. His experience in serie A will be invaluable.
