It would be fitting if Liverpool won the title this year, as it's 25 years since the Hillsborough disaster. Also, it would be nice if they won the Champions League next year, as it will have been 26 years since the Hillsborough disaster. The year after that it will have been 27 years since the Hillsborough disaster.

Why Boris Johnson ever apologised for his remarks about this self pitying city I'll never know - its one of the few bang on sensible comments he has ever made. I wonder if Juventus do this in deference to those fans murdered at Heysel ????

He's no angel but neither are me and you and the rest of the world. You must think the same about Speroni regarding the ambition part. Whats wrong with a bit of club loyalty for a change? He's got a club that adore the boots of him, he could play absolute dog s***e for 3 games and the majority of Liverpool fans will still think the sun shines out of his arse. So there was a tragedy a few years ago concerning them. So what. Sorry and all that, but wots that gotta do abaht anything? I hope Southampton win it cos it's 102 years since Titanic went down.....what next?

In homage to the scousers , I think we should set up a thread titled "Reasons Why They Should Win" where you have to post a team you think deserves to win something and then the reason why, preferably, the more heart rending the better. That way, maybe we can all understand what it is to feel a bit 'scouse' Either that, go and buy some chalk so we can all go around playing the eternal victim.
