dont know whether wilf is pulis type of player too much flair and tracking back work ethic not really in wilfs game.Having said that didnt think yannick had it either but pulis training has improved his defensive efforts. So maybe just maybe

How can anyone say they wouldn't want Zaha back? Absolute madness.

I'd buy Zaha in a heartbeat. Zaha, Ince, Bolasie and Joniesta in the same team. Thats what I want to see.

We want young talented players who are going to form the next generation.

If we stay in the PL we don't have to worry about our talent getting poached and can form a team to challenge for the top.

COYP.

Nice idea but in practice? Johnny getting kicked off the ball at every occasion, Bolasie confusing himself before anyone else, Zaha stepping over 3,4,5 times until the rest of the defense turn up to block him and Ince warming his seat up on the bench?

Any one of these players is a yes but all of them in one, no chance.

Did t parish say something to effect of 'we'd love to have wilf back' ? I don't know the technicalities but that sounds like tapping up. The fact that neither utd or Cardiff seem to want to keep hold of him means ultimately no one would really give a s***.

No, that's an opinion, not an offer.

The quote from SP was more along the lines of; "we would always be interested in signing a player like Wilf". The 'like' is the get out of jail card.

Is it true he put his thumbs up to palace fans on Saturday when they sang 'he wants to come home'?

In the system we play, we need 11 grafters for it to be effective. Zaha isn't, unfortunately

Zaha was anything but lazy last season.

Get Zaha and Victor Moses back and let the boys play football. They are too good to rot in the reserves at som provinsial clubs.

Really? Superb player on the ball, one of the best the second division has ever seen, but defensively he needs maturing.

id take him back without doubt, his got so much potential, was amazing last season by far the best player in the championship and gave his all even after getting a move to man u.
I love how some people say he aint prem quality and just because he can do it in the championship it doesn't mean his good enough to do it in this league yet Williams goes to Ipswich has a couple of good games and is the next best thing and has such a great future ahead of him.
Some people have short memories and forget how young he still is.

One of the thing that became clear to me that Wilf's poor run last year came about Joel Ward was injured. Perhaps he has just not had a decent right back behind him?
Losing him last year would have been a tragedy but if we re-sign him he would not necessarily command a first team place. Just goes to show how far our playing group have been strengthened since last season.
