Just wondering where all the fans have gone from last week and the week before? If I remember correctly there were a number of people criticising pulis' tactics, saying he doesn't know what he's doing bla bla bla. Anyone care to carry on or can we all just agree he has got it spot on once again. Genius. Where's that coffee shaker smilie. Congratulation on your pointless s*** thread.

You'll disagree but your completely wrong. He's gone with the same tactics he always has which is to make defending and being solid the priority and hitting them on the counter attack. When holloway or anyone else for the matter could of got this palace team to get 3 points against the league leaders then let me know. He is a tactical Genious end of and he proved that today.
1) Chelsea wingers were obviously told to stand off full backs or were too lazy to track so they had time on the ball. They got forward when they could, as they have done every week.
3) 95% of our counter attacking was a result of Chelsea throwing people forward and playing a high line once 1-0 down. The tactics were identical today, the difference is they worked.

I just find it depressing that people look for opportunities to knock down posters instead of building on good points made and gently chiding them on daft ones.

I thought his tactics were very similar to most games, the only difference was that they worked yesterday. Chelsea certainly played into our hands though, perhaps they assumed that we would do a West Ham and park the bus and didn't have a plan B when we didn't. They should have known as we played quite well when we lost to them at the Bridge.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

I see what you are doing there, trees, very funny. I just find it depressing that people look for opportunities to knock down posters instead of building on good points made and gently chiding them on daft ones.
No one gets hurt other than the overly sensitive and they shouldn't really be posting upon open debate forums. It's the old 'if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen' situation. Civil debate does happen but if someone wants that then 'general talk' is more the area.....Though as we know even there fingers will be burnt.

Same as usual but it just worked.

Not at all, Jedi has never been the best passer, but was going through a bad spell which made his distribution even worse. Jedi seemed far more relaxed and positive yesterday, because in my opinion he was far more comfortable with what he was asked to do and with more options in and around him it made his game more instinctive and less robotic. Always having to follow strict instructions gets very tiring mentally and every mistake grinds you down.

Would be nice to start hearing a few chants of Tony Pulis's Red and Blue army, or something complementary about him, the bloke is working miracles, thought I would hear something Saturday?

Always having to follow strict instructions gets very tiring mentally and every mistake grinds you down. That's probably nearer the mark. That's unlikely to come from you as you've been in a sulk since he was appointed.

Gloating is not helpful (not saying you are any more than I) but I hope this does hit home to some who have constantly moaned about Pulis tactics that he can only make best use of the tools he has and to get results in this league with the players we have it has to be a solid midfield and impenetrable defence. We battered them in the second half and if not for some better quality finishing we'd have won that 3 0 or more.
