I was not kind, I had us beaten by all the big boys, drawing a couple. losing to West Ham away and 0-0 to Fulham. Turns out the final day was irrelevant as Fulham were down and we were safe. Under miy prediction a few things ebcame obvious...
A) Man Utd, Stoke and West ham are going to have a big say in who goes down.
B) We can score 2 goals in 8 games and stay up
C) West Broms run in is actually much worse than it looks...

14 Norwich 37 -30
15 Sunderland 34 -26
16 Crystal Palace 34 -26
17 Swansea 32 -14
18 West Brom 30 -22
19 Cardiff 29 -39
20 Fulham 27 -46

can't believe I had us staying up in 17th place with only 34 points and a -29 goal difference.

On the unlikely basis that both Cardiff & Fulham start getting some results (with both beating us) and we don't start scoring goals. I can't see a win for us anywhere and come up with:

18 Aston Villa 36
19 West Brom 32
20 Palace 30

Utterly depressing & pessimistic but, hopefully, totally wrong!

After just one game you are already wrong!

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I put five draws and three losses and had us in 17th with 34 pts. Obviously today was down as a defeat but I had Cardiff v west brom as draw and indeed many of the bottom eight or so clubs drawing with each other when they meet.

West brom will find it hard to get back from today and Norwich are still in great danger but instill had the current bottom three for the drop.

My prediction was 12th on 42 points which involved us taking 4 points from Sot'on (D), Sunderland (W) & Newcastle (L). I was really concerned after these games because we only had 1 point and there was no way we were going to take 3 points off Chelsea. What do I know!

My predictions are back on track with 4 points from the last 4 games.

Now if we can beat Cardiff & Villa, Draw with Everton & West Ham we'll be well on our way.

And I see signs of half remembered days, I hear bells that chime in strange familiar ways

Here's mine. Norwich go in mine. I have us down for 2 more wins against Villa & Fulham, losing the rest. Also we won't be safe until the final whistle at Fulham :-(

This is how tight I still think it will be. That win against Chelsea was huge for us imo. Give it until Sunday and my league will probably look upside down though ha

14 Sunderland 36 -20

15 Hull 35 -13

16 Crystal Palace 35 -27

17 Norwich 35 -32

18 Cardiff 35 -33

19 West Brom 31 -21

20 Fulham 31 -44

Hoof Hearted 01 Apr 14 5.18pm

I ran it again today and only allowed Palace 3 points against Villa, losing all the rest of our games.

Being realistic I allowed Cardiff, Sunderland and Fulham to win most of their home games, but lose away.

Palace still stayed up!

Just looking at the bottom 3 as it stands I can't make any of them get more than 35 points and that is being generous. Also several are playing each other in the run-in.
I think if we avoid defeat against Cardiff, one more win may just about do it.
Looking at the run-in I think West Brom have the most to worry about and if they lose to Norwich I can't see them winning more than 1 game between now and the end of the season.
