I loved his stance on agents but it came back to haunt him in the end. If he hadn't pulled the plug on the Cahill deal we would have definitely stayed up.

Someone suggested he "royally screwed us".... wrong ..... he tried to be a benefactor, but his incompetence and arrogance were his downfall. I would look in Noades direction if want a culprit that "royally screwed us". How did he manage that, he never had £50m of his own money? I would bet you that he took out about as much as he put in and as we all know he was trying to borrow against the future youth players at the club. You needed to read some of the things that came out in the admin period, Jordan looked after one person and that was Jordan. Tell me the difference with Jordan taking money out of a club he owned and Noades doing exactly the same?

Noades left Palace in a damn sight better position than when he took over but always saw it more as a financial thing than cos he loved the club, however SJ had Palace's interests more at heart (and I'm not speaking ill of the dead, I liked Noades as well).SJ just tried to run it like he did his phone business and made alot of mistakes but was unfortunately so pigheaded it was too late by the time he realised what a horlicks he'd made of it. Now, if we want to talk about people ripping the arse out of the club..let's discuss Ray Bloye....

As he eventually ended up with fcuk all, I would say his net investment was about £50M. Noades originally invested about £100K and ended up with £23M from Goldberg. Ignoring all the money he syphoned off whilst running the club, plus rent from Selhurst I would say he "royally screwed us".

Well except for selling it to a man he KNEW didn't have the money, for more than it was worth and orchestrating a new deal in which he got to keep the ground, when Goldberg could go for the original overpriced offer of sale. Noades stitched up Goldberg, and in doing so stitched up the fans - a result of which was a brutal administration that undid a decade of progress.

Jordon spent about 10m buying the club and put about another 20-25m into it (of which he saw about 0.5% of back). Now we can assume that over that period of time Jordons worth of 46m increased until the crunch as a number of his investments were probably paying back out. I'm pretty sure I'd not spend that kind of money on the club.

We were never truly in for Cahill. Jordan agreed to let it be known we were about to sing Cahill because Millwall (his mate Paphitis) was looking for £2m and Everton wouldn't pay that much. Once Everton thought they were going to lose out to Palace they stumped up the money and Paphitis got his £2m. We were never in for Cahill seriously. Not say we shouldn't have been because he probably would have made the difference but Cahill was never interested in Palace.

Just making things up to suit your argument does not make them facts. I can see that the principle doesn't matter to you, it's the size of the sum.

He did have the money, on paper, then his company plummeted and when he needed to cash in, he came up short, so Noades took the ground out of the deal, in all honesty I'm quite glad he did as fvck knows where would be playing if Goldberg had had the ground.

At least Jordan sold Palace to people who could run the club and cared about our future, but where Noades was only after money. This is what pisses me off with people who hate Jordan, who knows were we would be if Jordan didn't buy Palace from Goldberg, he took us to the PL and I bet all of you haters f**king loved him then. Yes he was a bit of a dick and screwed up, but it's not like he meant to do it and if certain things went his way it would have been ok. At the end of the day you have to give him some respect for what he did and at least he stood up what he believed in.

I will answer that for you though, I was very pleased my team won promotion but still disliked Jordan, from the moment he and Coppell couldn't work together, I refused to buy anything other than a match ticket from the club, this I did until he thankfully was made bankrupt. It was nice having a half time pint, the first in ten years.
