What are these good games Puncheon has had ????

How he get s a start most weeks is beyond me, as much as i think Bannon is better in CM he is definitely better than Puncheon out wide.

I agree. If we go down by one point it is entirely due to that game. He is not my kind of player at all.

Just as well for JP that you aren't the gaffer then isn't it?

Puncheon says he is sorry for screwing up against Southampton so am I. If we survive I will not invite him to my survival party,

It's apparently quite commonplace for players to pull out all the stops so as to secure a contract, then to ease off once it has been secured.

They tend to hop from club to club.

However, I wouldn't include Puncheon . IMO, he is a wholehearted player - it's just that things haven't clicked into place (yet).

I'd like him at least to start at Sunderland on Saturday - at the very least he is a handful for opponents. As I recall, he played well in the home match v S'land.

Is this post a joke!? He is definitely the type of player to do that!

Also, you stick up for him for the majority of the post but then say you can recall him having a good game against Sunderland at home....which was back in August!?

But it was a stupid mistake combined with a useless performance. U expect more from a player up against his old club: maybe scoring the winner not serve them on a plate.

Talented lad no doubt, but goes missing to often, and for long periods. We simply can not afford passengers if we are to stay up, and for me Ince is rapidly falling into that category as well.

Bolaise and Bannan should start out wide, and will someone please explain how KG is any where near the first team on current form.

Footballer made loads of mistakes and goes missing when we need him.

Must be hung drawn and quartered.

Edited for accuracy

NVG against the top half teams. Invaluable aginst the bottom feeders. In other words, his level is our level. I am sorry if that makes uncomfortable reading.

Btw, I also prefer Bannan.

nearly.

He's championship and happy to be that level, whilst we are (just) in the prem and striving to stay there. BIg Big difference

He didn't play well Saturday but I'm pretty sure he has won us on his own more points than any other player this season. 1 vs Norwich, 3 vs Hull, and 3 vs Stoke. 7 points from one player is pretty good going. I agree sometimes he does slow the play down a bit too much, but he has that quality in front of goal and on the ball that a lot of our players are lacking. But I see no problem with rotating a bit, perhaps putting Bannan in behind Murray on Saturday, but I heard when Bannan played under Pulis this season he was pretty poor in that position...

Unfair to blame puncheon for soton goal. He was entitled to expect better cover behind him. Where was the rest of the defence?

Wouldn't blame Jules either. He was a fractional inch away from making what would have been the best tackle ever made at selhurst park

IMO, Jules did well to make the challenge without getting himself sent off.

Disagree entirely with fowler 's motd comment.

But what does TP think? Will he use the incident as an excuse to replace speroni with Hennessy?

The rest of the defence was pushing up, in line with TP's decision to be more attacking in the first half. Ironic given that his tactic was to be ultra-defensive in the first half of the two previous matches.
